Yeah Arukane looks fun. I want to try him, Jin, Taokaka, and Hakuman?? Is the last one a boss character or something? I haven’t seen him much. It looks like he can win by just poking the shit out of people, but I’m not sure if he’s fast enough for strong mix ups.
Hakumen is one of the 2 boss characters, other is v-13. I wanna try him too simply cause he’s the most bad ass looking character. From what I’ve heard he sounds like one of the lower tier chars cause he has problems with getting in through zoning or something.
and yeah, Arakune is like Zappa ghosts on steroids :wtf:
top 3 as of now I believe is Arakune, Rachel, and v-13. All the characters that throw a bunch of shit all over the screen 
v-13 looks really annoying lol. That sucks Hakuman is probably low tier though, I like his design too.

Arakune is all kinds of wtf. I was doing ok with him, but the guy I played with didn’t know what I was doing, and I only half way knew what I was doing. I don’t feel like I’m controlling him at all. I feel like I’m hitting buttons, stuff is happening and somehow I’m doing (or taking) damage. He has so many options from the air. He can spit out the cloud (think Johnny’s Mist). The cloud curses the opponent and that is like Zappa’s ghosts, sort of. Whenever you release a button and bug flies at the opponent from off screen, like the golf ball, flower pot, and banana peel for Zappa. Which button you release dictates what direction the bug is coming from. He has his air teleport, his fake teleport, when he is airborne he gets an “Invite Hell” which also curses. And when he is airborne, he can air dash “through” the screen and appear on the other side. Great for getting out of the corner.
Like I said, I just didn’t feel like I was in control. So, I intend to play Rachel. I wasn’t doing “that” much better with her than Arakune, but at least I felt like I was controlling the character. Corey, you’ll like Tager, I think. His 720 does MASSIVE damage. Over 50% The thing is, compared to Potemkin, I don’t know if he has all the good ways to get in that Pot had.
Oh man, Boa vs. Python was a great day. Back in '04, 4 or 5 of us actually stopped our day to watch the movie on Sci-Fi. Didn’t it have a silly tagline? Something like: “The military had to catch a giant snake. So they used a giant snake.” And I remember the cute “villain” girl getting nude or half nude or something.
As for this movie, it answers two important questions. What happened to Debbie Gibson (80’s singer for you young boys)? And what happened to Lorenzo Lamas after ‘Renegade’ went off the air?
It seems he gets a the bulk of his damage running away and knocking people out of their pokes for giant combos. Also he has some charging move that takes a hit, or explodes like order sol, or something and that wrecks advancing players. Most of his moves just seem like they beat out or eat other moves. It seems really easy to tick into pot buster through his combos because his combos seem to move so slow, but I don’t know how command grabs work in this game like with guard stun and hit stun et cetera so I’m not 100 percent on that either. Tager is definitely someone I am going to play, his back dash gimmicks are funny and in the corner, like everyone else I’ve seen, he does a ton of damage. Of course you do more if you have the person magnetized but most of the matches I’ve seen people are going for it and missing or not going for it at all. I’ve seen various different play styles with him and really the only one that seems to be the best is the basic run away until you get opening. Players that start rushing get beat because of the recovery time on his special moves, he is definitely dangerous as a run back and hit do pre-emptive pokes/counter pokes for damage, IMO. Then again I could be wrong I haven’t watched a ton of videos… yet.
Edit: Tagers falling move is pretty good, but air to air battles seems like they aren’t in Tagers favor. His little slash move is a good poke at the right distance if you have decent judgment, but if the character catches that move just right and hits you on recovery you better believe you are going on a ride. But that’s kind of how it is with most of his moves that aren’t normals.
V-13 is another character I’m probably going to use as a main because she has a barney type combo, and looks as much as a pain in the ass as testament was with shit all over the place and easy mix ups with magical projectile swords. So of course, I gotta give my testament love. I just wish someone had some sort of web, or is there a character I haven’t seen that has one?!?!?!
I really wanna learn a fast offensive character too like Bang, or Jin. After watching some vids yesterday all the characters I’ve seen look fun as shit. I’m kinda afraid that some of these characters have long, time consuming combos, even though they might not do a ton of damage, will make me bored just waiting for the person to stop or drop their combos. Guilty Gear kinda did that to me, and I hope that even though this game seems like it has longer combos they are easier to drop or they are so cool looking I don’t mind watching. Or I could just not get hit and be the best evar.

Yeah a lot of the reviews look pretty bad. Learning that they changed the focus of the story for Bale + pg 13 = me losing interest.
That movie trailer was amazing. Now I know, when ever I travel by air, I have to watch out for those sharks.
Yeah loooong combos or loooong block strings kill GG. But they’re really fun at first, so worse case scenario, this game will be really fun for half a year lol.

No explanation needed. I’ve been saying since the original trailer came out that I have no interest in another GG with less interesting characters.
I think the characters, even though they are pretty much rip offs of GG, have interesting character design. The backgrounds are awesome as fuck, and the music is a nice change of pace from ridiculous japanese heavy metal.
The mix of different GG character attributes is also something I like about this game. Instead of making a whole new version of GG, they just through it in a pot and shook the fuck out of it and 8/9 characters fell out. All the moves they mixed together really works for all these characters, and they are so fucking pretty haha.
Not saying you are stupid/wrong/get off the forum. Just my opinion. I can understand why you wouldn’t want to play this if you are over GG. But I’m over street fighter, next please!
That doesn’t mean I won’t play street fighter, I mean come on, Gief is really good! Haha.
In that case I’ll go ahead and save myself and save a lot of headache in the long run. The best (or worst depending on how you think about it) of zappa and eddie rolled into one ftw.

I lost the link for it, but in case you guys didn’t hear TvC is getting a US release (It was somewhere on the capcom official blog). They said that they have two secrets for this year’s E3 and that’s one of them so who knows what the other is.
