What’s good on Sunday? I’m coming to Blacksburg for a couple of things on Sunday. I need to knock out a little bit of shopping, and I’m going to swing by Fun N Games for a little while. A company has created a card game, similar to Magic: TG, which has cards based on Darkstalkers, Samurai Shodown, King of Fighters, Soul Calibur, and Street Fighter. FnG plays it on Sundays at 5pm. I’m going to hang out there for a while, maybe learn how to play, and try to recruit us a few more SF playing faces. So if you guys want to hang out with me there, great. But at some point Sunday, I’d be down for games. I still don’t have my own PS2 stick, yet. It is “in the shop” so to speak :rofl:

Well, turns out I have bronchitis. So, I’m staying home this weekend and Monday =( So let me see, Corey was 'Gief and Cammy, right? Everett played Guile and Ryu? I really don’t know Gief in this game, so I’m not a lot of help there. A lot of the Gief stuff is pretty good, but you have to break up the patterns. I was getting a lot of free damage because of things like “Ok, he just did a lariat, now here comes green hand, aaaaaaaaaand punish” Other than that, I don’t know what to tell you. I want to say that you’ll want to use more pokes. Gief’s standing forward is pretty good and won’t lose to Dee Jay’s spin kicks. Cammy wise, add some Hooligan. Make sure it is the fierce version, the fast one. Don’t do the dumb one that goes almost straight up and down. A lot of the Cammy stuff is a double edged sword. Jumping early with roundhouse is good because you get a lot of air throws, but it has the problem with being an easily move to anti-air. Her jump short is her cross-up and her jumping strong used to be really good. I’m not sure if it still is or not. Liberal thrust kicking seems to give me trouble. A friend from Bristol gave me fits with that. It’s the same thing though. If it hits, it’s great. You get a knockdown and I start to get timid. If I block, I get to punish it. But seriously, more Hooligan.

Getting around Dee Jay? Uhm, jumping at him when he has a full down charge is pretty bad. Short up-kicks actually have the most invincibility, but it only hits once and you cant juggle off of it. So if you have a jump in that makes me rely on that, you are ahead of the game. What is nice is that I’m starting to learn how to vary my cross-ups to make them ambiguous. I’ll try and get it down with Dee Jay, then learn how to do it with Bison, Alpha/SF4 Sakura, etc.

Yeah I was Gief, T.Hawk and Dee Jay. Everett was playing Guile, Ryu and Cammy. There was just a lot I didn’t know about this game, you were doing stuff I didn’t think you could do so every time I just kinda looked at Everett with a “Wtf” look on my face. I just need to read more about it, and yeah I was doing that stupid green hand all the time. I just don’t know what to do after that with non-fireball characters, or if I should do it at all with non-fireball characters. Isn’t there a SF2HD wiki page lurking around on the internet?

Regarding Dee Jay… The only jump in I feel like I should be using more is Zangief’s splash. But the only time I see that used is with his combos that are really hard for me to do for some reason. I can never get c.mk > lariat. Which i see done a lot after splash and cross up splash.

Hm, I might take my niece back to Newport News but I really don’t want to lol. That trip took FOREVER, ugh. Plus I really should get a job when I come back from Charlotte.

Jaton, if you still wanted to do games/ that movie, it might have to wait. Today is a small possibility, but I’m going to Charlotte first thing tomorrow morning so probably not a good idea.

On an unrelated note, just watched The Dark Knight with my dad. This is my 4th time watching it and it still gives me a raging demon (haha fighting game boner joke). Sigh. Anyway, why did heath have to die? He could have done a sick cameo in later movies.
