From what I’ve seen there has been a majority of Viper players playing on a stick. even with this there very few Vipers at play, or playing her well at least. So with this said I have decided to make a set of to help those play with her on pad. With this being said I would like for those to understand that everything has been done what the configuration set at default.B before I get started, I would like for those that have any questions, concerns or request to go ahead and comment so I can know what I should place the first video as it resorts to the bare minimum for the beginners.

Thanks such much for this! Good to find this info out for pad as she is very demanding, looking forward to any other videos you post

As someone who plays her on both stick and pad regularly, I’d have to say that it’s honestly not that much harder to play her on pad for the most part, even on X360 where you have to learn how to use the floaty dpad before anything else =/. The only thing I’ve found that suffers obviously is rapid seismos. So if you want to help those struggling, I’d definitely say focusing a good bit on those would probably be helpful.

I’m having trouble doing the staircase loop, period. For some reason I just can not seem to get it at all. This is the “combo” I’ve been doing to practice staircase loops based on what I’ve seen in your video on it:

(in the corner) :l: Seismo xx Jump, Air Dash, :h: xx :l: Burning Kick xx :s:, :h:

I’m have trouble getting the last :h: down. I can get it down sometimes but I never understand what it is that’s allowing me to get/what I’m doing wrong that’s keeping me from getting it. I’ve heard people say you have to Super Jump Cancel but when I do it in the notation above, I go to high and end up completely whiffing the :h: after the cancelled burning kick anyway.

So I’m begging you, please, AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE, break down into written words/notations every single step/button press/whatever from beginning to end so that I can fully understand what it is I’m supposed to be doing. It’s driving me insane only getting it half the time and never knowing why.

And there I thought this thread would contain fruitful discussion on whether Viper wears push up :shake:

Would you not be better served spending this time getting better on a stick?
Are you physically disabled?

Essentially where you have “xx Jump” in that combo notation it needs to be a super jump. Unless you’re air dashing too slowly or canceling the BK too slowly (which should mean they drop out of the combo rather than you’re just too high for the hit), you won’t be too high.

Recently I learned that viper has a jump loop and it can be done from anywhere on screen. I don’t know if this has been done prior but if not, here’s the finding. Also, this is not max optimized combo
