ya there are more deff hated players in the community. I mean fuck look at me, there was a time I won almost every tournament besides evo I entered for over a year my first year of disability while carrying around garbage bags in my pocket losing all my hair from radiation among other health problems. And people still talked shit about me when it took everything out of me and was having trouble even functioning. I even had my original account banned because higher ups on SRK didnt like me, and there was basically a ban on putting me on SRK for all my combo videos back in the day. Even when they made that EVO documentary to people that recall it all those years ago they were taping me for it, but I beat ricky reaaaaaally bad in the tourny like almost qaudruple perfect and I tried to shake his hand and told him sorry and he just kinda hit it away. But since hes more popular than me they took me out of the DVD. Hell one of the last tournaments that I ever went to(at least travel wise)I won with out losing a single match that I recall with guys like combofiend, marn all of them, hella sick, no practice, in and out of the bathroom getting sick, come home to a bunch of people talkings hit about me on the boards. Kinda like what was the point then… Of course then a year or so later I was in the hospital doctors telling me I could actually die and things got real grim for awhile and ive never entered a tourny again in like almost 10 years now?
So ya theres lots of players that are hated in the community trust me I know that very well.

ha trust me lots of people in the community hated me. I think its because I was younger than everyone else and at the beginning when I only first just started getting sick I still had that job as a model, so of course no one likes it when some blonde hair blue eye kid is winning. The community is one of the reasons why I never have a desire to play in tournaments again, I saw what happens when you start making money off games how shady things are. Maybe things are diff now, and a lot of the shady things that happened to me in tournaments im sure would not be allowed that things are so broadcast and out in the open…
Ill tell a random story though dunno if you know this, but one of the bigger reasons I got a bad rap back in the day was(and who knows maybe people will know who im talking about but ill be vague just to not start to much drama since it was a long time ago now)lets go for something like GG Specifically, back in the day it was basically me winning most the tournaments in the midwest and EC sorta region assuming I could get there travel wise with all my health stuff going on. Well lets call him K who part of the one group, was basically everyones favorite because… To be honest ive told him before K was one of the most important people I met in my life durning that time, we traveled to a lot of tournaments. And K is a nice dude, but he is also very fake and 2 faced. And he would bullshit a lot with other people to make them like them then when we would drive away he would say different things. Now ive never been a liar to say so, didnt matter how many tournies I won, since I wont suck a dick to be someones friend metaphorically speaking, and he would, didnt matter how many times I beat him but people always liked him more and he got the praise.
So in one particular circumstance, basically long story short there was a guy in the community who use to run tournaments, but lets just say he was not “one of the cool kids” so he was not popular and people shitted on him a lot. I was friends with him though as he has never done anything to me and I thought he was cool. Well one day a bunch of people went to one of his tournaments he was running and stole all his stuff. It was really fucked up, and no one would admit who did it. And since he was unpopular most people didnt even “truly” care if you get what im saying. But the thing is K knew that this guy was actually a good guy deep down, and he had even helped K himself before. But while stuff like this was going K refused to stand up for him in public. And I told him how fucked up that was because he had a bigger voice than me, because everyone loved him, no one wanted me winning all these tournaments, they wanted me to lose blah blah. So basically I got tired of and one day I called him out and posted i ton the boards about how fucked up he was and being a little bitch, that he had the power to do the right thing and defend this guy that had actually done right by him once before, but he wouldnt because he was unpopular. So it was like he would suck everyones dick to make people like him and be fake as hell, but when he had the power to help someone else who actually needed it he didnt.
Anyway so basically people took that as like WOW, see told you clayton is fucked up and shady. How could he talk shit about K when we all love K and he is nice to everyone. And so that was a big start to me getting a really bad rap in the community and started being seen as untrustworthy. Of course theres many other examples but this is a big one that happened at one time.
Even worse years later I was at dinner with a old gamer friend from those days and he told me it was people in Ks crew who went to the tournament and actually stole from him and they he knew it all along but it was easier for me to take the blame, and they knew if I found out I would have told everyone and well of course the guy that had all his stuff stolen since I was friends with him.
Fucked up eh? Of course its easy to admit to these things when they happen years later because its one of those forgotten sands of time thing. And you can never really get retribution for that kinda thing
