No offense to Dr.B or any other S-groove players but I think the a lot of the reason people lose to S-groove is because they forget how shitty it really is.
Also, after watching that Eric Choi vid I’ve realized that against S-groove you should never forego killing a character in the red zone to save meter. Ever. I don’t care if you have to waste three levels. Chances are you’ll build that meter back before they get into the red zone with the next character. The red zone is where S-groove truly shines.
Dr.B, you’re a very good player but I can’t but feel you would do significantly better with another groove…any other groove.
YMDSLTSAC: people used to feel the same way about p groove. in cvs2, groove is secondary to player skill. look at yourself. of all the grooves in the game, i’m sure you play the one you are most comfortable with.
i do agree that s groove is the weakest groove in the game, but that does not mean it’s shitty. it’s still a very viable groove if you are willing to put in the time.

Its been fun but I got to Go…
This may or may not be a shock but it’s long over due for me…I have been deciding to annouce it or not for a while…and it hurts to say that I’m heading into early RETIREMENT from the fighting game scene.
I have been wanting to do this since I got back from Evo but my love for the game kept me playing. And just all the friends I made and kicked it with and had fun battling it out with.
I trully feel that streetfighter takes up too much of my time, and I have alot of things that I need to finish up on including my music. Sometimes I feel like I go out and it’s the same power struggle between the same players, and many have the same style.
It kinda kills the game for me and makes it boring, I need to play new people,try more characters…shit anything would help. I just know Im not falling into my addiction of playing anymore…
At one point I had a “Prime” when my love for the game was stronger and I put more time into practice and what not. Now I really could care less win or lose…and it really just doesnt matter. I guess people let this shit get to them…or it makes their day knowing they are good and or have respect.
Well you guys can have the respect, have the fame, I feel I have had my time…I know I’m a great player…and a damn strong one…so I feel Im leaving on a good note…
So if you have gotten a victory on me recently great!!! Now you have something to brag about . Some of you were way over due of evening the score with me…so im glad you did…maybe it gives you some closure in your life.
And last but not least I would like to thank all of the cool players I have met from all over…to The OCV Crew…and all of Pac-North and Northwest…to my fam down in So Cal…and my EC peeps…my Midwest folks and Down South Country muthafuckas…I’ll be back…I await your return…Warrior
