Video Game Music Thread Ver. Once More With FEELING!

Metroid Metal has their Varia Suite album up for preorder…I think I’m probably going to buy it but I’m on the fence right now. The have a vid with a sampler of the songs they retouched up on

they also have one full track from the album up on the player on their myspace page which is ‘The Theme’

It sounds good but I think right now I like the original one’s that they’ve done better…I’ll have to listen to the sampler a bit more.

OC is working on a Sonic 1 remix album

OA, Bronx Rican,bLiNd and DrumUltima I believe are the most well known on the project. Looks like it’ll show up soon since the due date on the tracks is Oct. 1

and I found thatNightsproject is starting to up

looks like it won’t show up till next year though

Lufia 1 & 2 album is also in the works

Another audio tagging program - The Godfather

In my experience, the best tagging program as of yet. With more features than listed.
Preview changes as you are making them, Delete and Add Album Art, Find out if any tags are different or out of place.

Something like this really helps out, especially with portable players that only sort by tags. I still prefer folder view.

Gotta say, In the past few months I’ve fallen in love the all the Guilty Gear OST’s and the Blazblue OST.

Gears Of War 2 is also a great OST. Steve Jablonsky is amazing.

MOTHER/Earthbound

Despite not having played through each game all the way, I think this is a great series with some wonderful music. Though there have only been 3 games in the series (hard to believe when you stop and realize that as of this year, the series is now 20 years old) each game has had a unique score and the music has been blessed with an abundance of arranged themes.

I highly recommend this album. It has 11 vocal arrangements plus the original audio from the first Mother/Earthbound game. This is the 2004 re-release so the track with the original game music has been extended.

These are very bit as good as the official release. Besides, Nintendo, really screwed us over on the Earthbound (Mother 2) Soundtrack by omitting A TON of music. And three years after Mother 3 came out, they STILL haven’t released a Mother 3 OST. Thank God Dubble hooked us up. All of these rips sound excellent.

Anyone know where I can get the Apollo Justice OST? It quickly became my favorite OST from the PW games…though AA: PW still takes the top spot.

Oh and someone posted the Streets of Rage Remake OST’s a while back but I never got them–now that I went back to check it isn’t there anymore. Does anyone have it? Please

If you liked TheMegas’ Get Equipped CD then you may dig their Megatainment cd. It’s in the same vain as Get Equipped except it’s focus is on MM1 and it’s also a collaboration with another group. They only did 4 songs though.

I’m listening to the Elecman song on their facebook. Sounds pretty good to me.

Warning though…that music player is ASS. In order for me to get it to play I had to run through most of the songs just to get it to play.

Anyone know the music that plays in the top part of the Terra Tower in Chrono Cross? It’s this one section where you have to destroy the two crystals that have the barrier up on the summit. Thanks.

IIRC, official Omega Boost OST were missing some tracks, but it did have the Training Mode BGM. Must be a rip of all the tracks somewhere…
