The music in Last of Us is good and atmospheric but most of it isn’t something that will linger with you save for the songs that play on the cassette of the car and what seems to be the main theme that played in one of the trailers.

He actually performed a bit of this at the VGA’s last year IIRC. Very well done imo and does a good job of conveying the mood of the game.
The tracks on the cassette in the car right before and during the ambush were actually older songs done by a guy named Hank Williams Sr. This song was used in the Gamescom Trailer

I’ve listened to ‘Impresario’ from the OCReMix album a couple times…and the first thing I thought while listening to it was ‘…This shit sounds like Bohemian Rhapsody…’. And it bugged me because it seemed to take so many cues from Queen and that song that I felt for sure I was probably wrong on it. I felt pretty vindicated reading the blurb on the song on OCR’s website lol. I dig what you have done to the opera Mr. Kaufman.
NintiesArcade, major kudos for mentioning Jackie Chan’s Action Kung Fu. I’m about to start a feature on my blog for the best NES soundtracks and I didn’t want anything to go overlooked. I played JCAKF as a kid and I loved that soundtrack. Still pretty impressive stuff today.

Been listening to the Parasite eve 1&2 soundtrack for the last few days. Some genuine creepy beats mixed with nostalgia, so good.
