Was doing a usual check up on Metroid Metal’s website and followed it to Magfest only to find out that Nobou’s past group The Black Mages had disbanded. He’s got a new group now though called the Earthbound Papas that now will focus on FF, Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon and Guin Saga.

So after watching that nearly 4-hour SFEX2 Plus match vid, I realized that the game has better music than I thought. Still doesn’t beat EX Plus Alpha’s soundtrack overall, though.

So I was riding in my car one day and my girl was playing a game on her phone. After a couple of seconds and hearing a few notes from the game I quickly ask what she was playing…because it was completely ripping offthis track from Final Fantasy. Like this was so fucking blatant that I’m surprised Square Enix hasn’t already planted a their foot up their ass. It was note for note the same song…no changes. This is on par with that Shrek game blatantly ripping off LoZ’s shop theme. I can’t remember name of the game she was playing at the moment…I’ll have to grab it from her when she’s awake.

Heh no biggy mate; while I was looking for it on my own I read that the music files were encoded in a way that makes it difficult to rip. ATM They’re available on YT but I’m not good at YT–>MP3 =p
