I found this great piano version of the Skyward Sword Trailer. It transfers really well to the keys, though I think he should have played the second half at a higher pitch like it is in the trailer. People who post the theme on youtube just loop the first half twice because there are sounds at the end of the trailer.
The game isn’t even out yet, but I already want multiple themes from it.
The Skyward Sword soundtrack is going to be amazing. It’s from the same guys who worked on the Mario Galaxy games.
Great stuff. Still mind blowing that all most of that theme is mostly Zelda’s lullaby backwards.

So I had to write an essay for class and I chose video game music as my topic! Can anybody help me out by finding articles where they describe the psychology of why the music is so catchy? I would do it myself but I got class in like 10 minutes. Any help would be appreciated, thanks all!
If by ‘game music’ we’re talking about…maybe say around GC/PS2/Xbox era and beforehand? The goal of most artists of the compositions of to make a track that wouldn’t be super annoying to listen to for prolonged periods. I remember some interview with Koji Kondo when someone asked him what was his motivation or his goal when making his music and he said something along those lines. I have no idea where that interview is though…had to have been like maybe 5-6 years ago.
Not going to paruse through 62 pages and I’m sure this was probably posted, but I just recently heard “Myth - History in the Making: Title Screen” and my god that song is magic.
