I would say that Genesis took the SNES on the CPS1 conversions, but definitely no contest for the SNES in the CPS2 conversions. The Genesis Turbo beta had even better/more faithful music than the retail version(along with better voices and animation).

All the music in Super SF2 for Genesis was very poor.
I never liked Guiles SSF2 SNES theme. The guitar is too harsh IMO, but the percussion on that theme is better than the arcade’s. Kens theme from this game has nearly the exact guitar as the arcade CPS2 Guile.

Nerdapalooza, CubeeCraft, NGI, and the BEST of the REST | Metroid Metal
No new stuff yet but they say they’re working on 2 tracks. 1 being the Metroid Queen from Metroid 2 for the 25th anniversary Metroid Album that I had NO idea was being made until now (quite a varied group on there…I see Minibosses and Zircon =D). Kinda surprised that they’re taking music from Other: M…the only track that I thought stood out in that game that didn’t come from a game before it or wasn’t just atmospheric was the [media=youtube]WGWE2n7LdoE&feature=related"]Debrachian Battle and fighting one of those guys with this pumping through speakers may or may not get on your nerves [.
The other track they didn’t say what it was but it is being worked on. They are also working on a cover of a track from Grandia 2.

Also Prototype Raptor made a dubstep ReMix of the Underworld theme for LoZ. I’m at odds with it at the moment but I’m leaning closer to not liking it but I know there are dubstep fans out there who might enjoy it.

Wow, I can’t believe I never noticed this thread. VG music is usually what draws me to games initially (like I probably wouldn’t have ended up a fan of the Final Fantasy or Megaman series at a young age if it weren’t for the music).
Usually I have no trouble finding the songs from games I like/want to try, but this time I have an annoying ‘game song stuck in my head’ situation that I posted about in the lounge thread. It may be more appropriate to just post it here:
