A little something to get you started from the Daytona 2 OST which can be found at the usual places. I just recently obtained it to listen to the Course Select theme and came across this and many other gems. This song has been on loop for a while though. I forgot the singers name but this is the dude who did a lot of Sega’s English songs in the Burning Rangers(among others) OST. There’s also the Japanese guy on the other part of the OST. Man, if Sega wasn’t so Sega we would’ve had their arcade racers on XBLA/PSN or even disc by now. I’ve been waiting for Daytona 2 since the DC days…
“I’ll teach you some lessons, show you what technique really means…” That line is buff for me right now. Thinking of their arcade racers not being released pisses me off more than no VF5:R/FS outside of Japan.
That would be the Battle Scene. Here’s the original:

And here’s an awesome remix from FF Dissidia:
Well, guys, I have my own net connection back. I was going to share a ton of music with you all for Christmas but my move to Virginia Beach put a halt to that. I had a feeling it might. So, here’s everything I was able to get uploaded before the move.
‘Sucka tried to play me but you never payed me…Neva!’
ahem…sorry had to get that outta my system thanks to Reggie reminding me of it’s existence. The real reason I’m posting of course is to let you guys know that OC just released their Armored Core album. I haven’t listened to any of it yet but I enjoy listening to Pixietricks’ voice so I’ll probably give it a listen to when I wake up tomorrow.
you guys should listen to Anamanaguchi. Their a 8 bit rock band that play a lot of catchy tunes featured in Bit.Trip series and Scott Pilgrim game. they have two albums and a few singles, cant remember. all there stuff is on iTunes.

only found out about these guys because of Bit.Trip Runner menu theme and i would like sit around in the menu just to listen hahaha
Okay, I should have posted this days before, but better late than never, right?
Everyone, I present to you some samples of, what is in my opinion, THE greatest RPG soundtrack ever composed thus far: NieR
Here are bits and pieces of a review of the OST I 100% agree with. Written by Patrick Gann from RPGFan:
Before we get to it, I ask that you do NOT read any youtube user comments or song descriptions whatsoever if you plan to play this game. The storyline of this game is arguably unmatched in this 7th generation of gaming. Spoiling it for yourself is one of the worst sins you can commit as a gamer. Yes, it’s that serious and yes, the storyline is that good. Act like you know.
But moving on, without further ado…

I haven’t played too many ps1 RPGs but the only one I can think of that has an elusive menu theme is Legend of Dragoon

I liked a lot of this…‘The Dark Colossus Destroys All’ is quite a powerful piece. I have to say…based off of the music and the convosation you guys were having about it in the PS3 thread my interest in the title has went up a bit. I don’t know if I’ll ever play it though since I have enough on my plate as is.
Source tracks are dZt0hYAO8ow"]‘Koopa Beach’ and [. I really dig this…very soft and the flute is awesome mixed with the Acoustic Guitar.
Mega Man 9 ‘Blown Mind Bolero’ by AlteredBeats

Source track is . I’m actually in a love/hate relationship with this ReMix. There are certain parts that I’m digging a lot and there’s parts of it that aren’t sitting well with me…which is surprising since this has electric guitar in in a Metal style. I like the parts where it’s doing the beginning of the source track but then when it starts going into the other parts of it then it’s not agreeing with me for some reason…and this is my third time listening to it. I don’t know what it is…maybe it’s the way the track has been mixed in those areas…I da know…I’m all over the place with it lol. I figure maybe someone might enjoy more than I did so I figured I’d post it.
Thanks for having a really fantastic selection of game music. However, there’s one small problem…
Part 3 of the soundtrack I just quoted isn’t available. The first 2 are fine, however. Do you think you can re-upload that? I’ve been looking for that album for the longest time, and I’d really like the whole thing. I’d greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance!
The title of that album was changed on VGMdb and since I’m a stickler for details and accuracy, I changed the album to match the full name. So here’s all three parts of it.
I know I usually don’t ask this here, but what have you guys been listening to as of late? I finally found the music to Billy Hatcher & the Giant Egg. For those that don’t know, this was a game by Sonic Team for the GameCube released in 1993. The music is actually quite good.
After hearing some of the remixed/remastered music in Donkey Kong Country returns, I finally downloaded the gamerip. I absolutely LOVE what Kenji Yamamoto did with Fear Factory, Northern Hemisphere and Life in the Mines.
And the music for Ghost Trick is just too awesome for words. Both discs just sizzled with amazing.
I’ve been trying to find a song from the Shin Megami Tensei series. It sounds an awful lot like EfIlboVSGGA]this song, especially . The instruments used for those parts are pretty much the same.
