Video Game Music Thread Ver. Once More With FEELING!

I was going to give this a listen…

…Until I read this.

Did Gecko do Sexy Trunks? Even so, the HDR version is chopped up and sped up a bit. The original is a lot better. This has a similar feel, but I like this mix a 100x better. And it’s not as annoying as Omega Red’s original themes. Feels Daft Punk influenced. I like it a lot.

Oh god…

That would make me orgasm in rage-joy.

Your screen name reminds me of how awesome Sonic 4’s Mad Gear Act 1 song is. It’s totally the evolution of old Metropolis Zone music made for a “final” zone. Just a random thought.

Dr. B’s homing attack goes straight at the nearest open, hawt, non-smelly vag.

I do not know if this game has been mentioned before but the soundtrack is pretty awesome

Anyone else feeling the James Bond JR. NES OST? I think it came out late in the NES’ lifespan so the audio was used to it’s full potential. Good stuff.

Final Fantasy Adventure ‘Chivalry Begins’ by Big Giant Circles
ReMix: Final Fantasy Adventure ‘Chivalry Begins’ - OverClocked ReMix

Source is . WARNING THIS SONG DOES HAVE LYRICS. That being said, I have to say I didn’t know what to expect from this mix considering that my experience with Final Fantasy Adventure was quite brief but I find that this song is uh…quite nice? Of course I love the guiar solo that kicks in at 2:00-2:45. But I find the lyrics to be quite solid imo. I can actually see the lyrics (especially the hook) getting stuck in my head and I’d start humming it subconsciously. He said in the comments that Goo Goo Dolls had a bit of influence on this track.

Diddy Kong Racing ‘Shiva Nataraja’ by Guifrog
ReMix: Diddy Kong Racing ‘Shiva Nataraja’ - OverClocked ReMix

Source is ‘’. If you have fond memories of playing this game and making that elephant eat your dust while he flew on his magic carpet then you should probably give this track a listen. It’s pretty straight forward with the source and you can hear it throughout it.

I’m working through personal top 30 favorites on game remixes and arrangements so far that I’ll hopefully have done soon and I’ll post up for those interested. Most people who have been frequent visitors to this thread probably already have most if not all of these so it’s sort of an excuse to reference back to stuff that has been posted that some may have missed out on. Criteria for it is 1st being on my ‘hard hitting game music’ playlist and second the track has to have at least made me listen to it again and/or several times when it’s come up in the playlist. Not everything that fits those 2 criteria will make it on the list unfortunately so I’m basically killing myself on what to include so the tracks aren’t going to be in any particular order. Lastly I want to make sure that ‘personal’ is understood…meaning you’re quite free to disagree and I’d even like to hear other people’s own list of their current faves since I could be missing out on something myself.

I couldn’t find a Dr. Mario Gameboy Soundtrack, so I made my own.

Is there a site or somewhere I can find modern game music remixed into 8-Bit besides Youtube?

I somehow came across and now I can’t stop playing it. I wasn’t familiar with the second OST and had only played the game for a short period, but it really does have some underrated music. Sucks that the quality is poor. I have to learn how to record hq vgm. But for now it is still good enough to get me amped up while I pump that iron. :nunchuck:

Anyone know where I can download an mp3 of this?

^I DLed then converted it to WMA, I’d convert it to MP3 if I knew of a better video to audio converter program @_@

Hope that helps ^_^;

So I just want to say for the record, that the Video Games Live! Concert series is worth EVERY SINGLE DAMN DOLLAR! It was totally amazing and the mix of music was absolutly incredible. Halo, Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 8, Chrono Cross, Chrono Trigger, Legend of Zelda Medley, Super Mario Bros Medley, God of War Medley, Castlevania, Starcraft 2, World of Warcraft, Guitar Hero: Van Halen, a Megaman medley, a Retro Medley to open the concert, and even a new set piece from a Japanese game called “Afrika” (Only the Japanese could play it, but the music was great), Tommy Talarico on guitar, great soloists, and a superb performance from the Indianapolis Sympohny Orchestra and Symphonic Choir. If this concert tour is coming near you, you owe yourself to go see it live!

Anyone know where I can download the thunder force V soundtrack?

Appreciate that. Doesn’t show up in my library for some reason though.

I will try and make it someday. I tried to see a similar concert sometime last year, but I was concerned about traveling alone.

Does anyone ever record these concerts?

Wow there’s actually a show in my town in nov…

Crazy, I feel like i should wait and watch it somewhere else tho… I guess or symphony is as good as any other but the lil River Center is meh…

lol I want to see a epic show 1st go round…

Dunno if this has been posted yet. .

Some people do, they really don’t turn out that well. They do put out CD’s of the music themselves however. Video Games Live Volume 1 is out and I have that on my site actually. Video Games Live Volume 2 comes out soon and they had the April 2010 recording (show) on PBS that aired July 31st. That’s coming out on dvd/Bluray soon as well. Play! A Video Game Symphony Live! also has 2 cd’s, you can get them via iTunes.
