Video Game Music Thread Ver. Once More With FEELING!

Possible noob question here, but is there anything I can do when one of the files fails to uncompress? Winrar says that track 208 is corrupt. I tried redownloading it all a 2nd time, but the same thing occured.

You’re getting all the other files, then? Because I had a problem opening files in the past, but it turned out to be a Google Chrome problem running on XP x64.

At first you must extract the sound directory onto your computer, which will consists of a bgm.srt and lots of ssd files.
and at the HCS VGM ripping tools, you can find a ZWSRT command line tool to match the headers of the bgm.srt with the samples of the ssd files to output zwdsp files which can be read in Winamp with a In_Cube.dll, from there I just converted into mp3.
I only managed to rip it correctly by guessing at first, then figuring out the pattern.
I did overkill the bit rate, but I was a little impatient and I have tons of space now.

Speaking of TVC UAS, I’ve updated the complete soundtrack (Including the 2 Missing Songs such as Training Stage) with Tags and a little Album Art.
Some of the song names I borrowed from the CGoH rip from FFShrine Forums.

Chrono Trigger '…And in Her Self-Loathing and Despair, She Found Wrath’

I like it of course but I feel like the guitar sounds subdued in comparison to the mix in general. This is really interesting in comparison to the source since it takes it in a completely different direction. Either way I find it to be awesome :rock: :rock:

Side and slightly related note: I was looking for the source to the link of this song and found [media=youtube]YELRuYNBRDk&feature=related"[/media] I didn’t even know that THIS…existed until right now. Did anyone else? The fact that this was a fan made and free project is fucking awesome. I’m also hating on Square big time right now for canceling it. Especially after that whole ‘buy more copies of chrono trigger and MAYBE we’ll give you a sequal’ bs comment.

Final Fantasy VI 'Desertion’

This mix was done by Zircon with a very strong influence from Snappleman, Sixto Sounds, Norg and Danimal Cannon from Armcannon. This track was also used with with a music tool that Zircon and Sixto just released called Shreddage. If you’re into making music it may be something that you want to check out. Get Acoustic is awesome =D. Love the whole ‘orchestra’ they have in the background…makes some sections of songs sound epic (especially the section in ‘The Annihilation of Monsteropolis’ that starts with ‘Up in the sky…’. Made me chuckle a bit.) The issue I could say I had with the CD is the last track ‘Lamentation of a War Machine’. The last track just sounded…off. The song just felt sped up and just didn’t sound right to me. I don’t know how exactly to describe it…could just be me though. Other than the last track everything else is great. Know that if you do decide to spend the $10 to dl the CD that you’re just getting Get Equipped but just with more Acoustic. There aren’t any special tracks for this CD. That being said if you liked Get Equipped and you don’t mind hearing the songs being sung a bit differently then I’d reccomend it.

Hey guys, does anybody know the page with a big post that included a bunch of Capcom soundtracks? I remember it being mostly fighting games, it even included SF2 instrumental album and all of that jazz…I’m having quite a hard time finding it.
