I’m not getting the CE I’m talking SE. On their website it says “coming soon”. But it said that for the CE earlier too. I wonder if they are going in/out of stock today for preorder. Either way I’ll just go to the store and check it out myself.
More than likely that’s the case. To be honest, you are better off just doing in store pickup by checking in the AM the morning of release. Best Buy’s inventory system is usually pretty accurate with things like this.
Before the store opens they “pick” the items. Already accounting for pre-orders, say there were 6 left. The night before there were 5 in-store pickups. That means when they open up, there is only one on the shelf.
Yeah I plan to check it in the morning for curbside pickup and if it’s not there I’ll just go inside and see if I see any on the shelf and if not, just get normal one.
EDIT:
It shows it as “in stock” now on the website but when you go to checkout it says it was just out of stock. Seems like maybe today they are going to be changing inventory maybe? Just weird stuff on the website randomly happening now when checking.
I have so many things as part of the backlog right now. If I can’t get the Steelbook, I’ll settle for the regular edition, but it’ll be a while.
I am glad that games are starting to be released with Steelbook variants.

I finally watched the State of Play gameplay footage of Ghost of Tsushima. My god, that game looks incredible. I love how you have different approaches to combat. You can go the honorable samurai way and meet everyone head on, or go bad ass shinobi style and stealth kill the fuck out of everyone. It looked like when you go the honorable samurai route, you clean your blade, but you leave it bloody as the Ghost. Bad Ass.
The minimal HUD and having the environment clue you in on where to go is fucking awesome, too. Exploration looks unreal. And you can pet a fucking fox and shit. Fuck yeah. I’m getting this game on Friday.

I’ve been steering clear of pretty much all media and articles about Ghost of Tsushima other than the original 7 minute or so trailer, very similar to how I approached TLOU2. So I will be going into it extremely blind for the most part and can’t wait to try it out this weekend.

Now I might wait though. Another buddy of mine just told me he has The Last of Us Remake. I might want to jump into that after I finish Uncharted 4, and then play TLOU2. I dunno, GoT looks so fucking bad ass. Maybe I should play that first and then go back to Naughty Dog.

You should start with Yakuza 0. Should only be $20.
It is the earliest in terms of the timeline and also the best gameplay with the multiple fighting styles and two fully playable characters.
