They were fine, I can’t see how this wasn’t a massive step up from Yakuza 2 on the PS2. I saw some discussion that Y3 should’ve been Kiwami’d and I couldn’t disagree more. It’s cool seeing and playing the evolution of the games and Kiryu, because they all offer something different. I’m really keen on Y3’s version of Inner Fighter and found it better than the ones in 4 and 5, too.
I remember 10 years ago, terrible localization aside, people were down on this to boost Y4, which is probably the worst of the bunch in the Yakuza context.
I haven’t played those before. This is my first Souls game ever.

I think I got two plateenum trophies. I think. I know I got one from playing through Guacamelee.
Edit - I finally got my PS3 jail broken/hacked again. Since we got a second firestick and now have one in the living room I think I’ll move my PS3 to my game station and play a few of those games I have on there.

I wish I could play Menat. I really like her design and character, but her play style is too complex for my smooth brain. 
My lack of investment of time dooms my ability to gitgud with Menat, G, or Zeku. Sticking to Gill because I’ve always liked that pompous ass, and he’s not too difficult to play. If I need to pull out old man crap, I’ll dig out Guile or Chun Li; but I really don’t like reverting back to SF2 familiars. Just doesn’t seem right.
Laura I don’t “get”. What’s her point? We’ve had Brazilian fighters in the series, we’ve have Brazilian fighters with electricity in the series. She’s low effort waifu bait.
That’s more a conversation for character design philosophy though. There are other martial arts and combat cultures I’d like to see depicted in Street Fighter before we begin doubling up on represented regions, and waifu baiting. The most patrician path is to waifu bait with a non represented martial art! 
When it comes to flowcharts, I try to talk myself out of being aggressive - remain calm, and don’t provide openings. Which is boring because pressing buttons is fun maaaan!

Menat is a simple and cute design within a hideous game. Laura is whatever to me. She’s a dick to her brother.
I’m just glad my girls Sakura, Mika and Karin are back.

I like how fast and over the top stuff is in Yakuza 2 and its missions had more momentum for me. I much prefer to play the base game (especially the beat 'em up stage-like segments) over Inner Fighter in every installment it is featured in so it did nothing for me.
To be honest I did not even make it past the introductory chapters of Yakuza 4 when it was free on PS Plus as it did not hook me and felt like a slog so I have no idea how much worse it gets.
Maybe you will get around to it… or not. I hope you continue to enjoy what you already have.
Yeah I saw the remaster of part 1 is like $20 right now and was thinking of getting it.
But I honestly don’t think I’ll have much time to play them right now and I have 3 games I wanna play on XSX after I finish Demon’s Souls.
I also think graphically it will be tough going back to non-PS5 graphics lol.

Bowser’s Fury is pretty cool but my only fear is there is not much variety in it. I’m only like 20 shines deep into it but so far it seems like it’s kind of just the same thing over and over.
