Video Game General v8.01D : PC Gaming Golden Age, Big Box (Part 1)

Anyone tried the MK and MKII arcade games on FightCade 2?

I should look into adding games on the Genesis mini, but in the meantime I got sound back on KegaFusion. Just add to click ā€˜disable’ under sound settings, then click it again and the sound is back.

All is right with the world.

Is KegaFusion even still supported?

Wish I had more time to play Demon’s Souls but I don’t. I played last night for the first time since last week. I’m gaming like 2-3 times a week now and it’s between Gears 5 and Demon’s Souls.

I just finally started out 3-1 and made a little bit of progress but I did level up a bit. I’m almost at level 18 with strength so I will be able to wield that damn Bastard Sword. I think my magic is the lowest at level 9 but I still don’t even have any magic abilities so I hadn’t worried about it yet.

I did go back into the 1-1 level after leveling up because I didn’t have any grass as I was playing level 3-1 and realized it would be useful. And damn, level 1-1 is easy peasy now. Everyone is pretty much a 1 hit kill. I have the schmitar+4 as my current main weapon.

…well!

Not too sure, but it works. Having the Sonic trilogy + S&K, Alien Soldier (G.O.A.T run-n-gun), M.U.S.H.A, Shadow Dancer and more is all I ask for. I really should add the roms to the Genesis mini though.

It’s started…

Thats why you apply a crack to any epic store game you have.

Enlighten me on this.

Uhhh…a crack circumvents/removes dmr protection from a game and allows you to play it offline/without a launcher. A lot of people assume because you crack a game or want a crack for a game that you pirated the game. A lot of the time thats true but a lot of the time its also just people that dont care about online functions and dont want to deal with a launcher.

Like with that denuvo drm…that shit hits your game performance. So people really hate it and want it removed from games they play. Its one of the harder drm to crack. A lot of the time the people who made the game eventually remove denuvo from the game…after a while.

Edit - they just removed denuvo from Death Stranding

Supreme dropped a collab with MK the other day, I should of atleast TRIED to grab this. Now I’m salty

Played Gears 5 offline with my bro couch co-op. Good experience except my eyes hurt playing splitscreen even on a 43" TV.

I remember playing Goldeneye 4 player on a small TV as a kid and had no problem whatsoever. Nowadays people have trouble seeing on a big ass screen.

Oh I cracked games I legitimately owned and had the discs for because the stupid activation servers are down (sometimes forever) or there a hard limit how many times you are allowed to install a game.

Cracks are also useful if you own a older PC game and lost the serial key

People often crack games to assert their legal ownership on their own games.

Word. There are a number of reasons to crack games you’ve purchased legit style.

It’s why despite their flaws I praise GOG so much, all the games on their store by policy is DRM free.
I just wish this was the industry standard instead of the exception.

They should but they wont. I dont care though. Steam is unintrusive, for the most part, I rarley notice it so it doest bother me much. The other platforms I dont buy from usually unless I can only get the game from there but those ones generally I crack. I cracked like 2 games I have on steam because even though the games are on Steam when I click play to launch the game the game doent launch…instead it opens up the ubisoft launcher and I have to use that. I dont like that.

If you saw an arcade1up in person you probably wouldn’t be salty.

Because the game wasn’t busted enough.

I agree, they are cheaply built and they do show it. Cheap particle board construction and knock off Arcade parts, and a cheap laggy display.

I think I can do better with some drawings and plans downloaded from the Internet and a trip to Lowes.
Or if you are willing to check the classifieds, Cregis List, FB Market Place, ect, you can find a fixer up Arcade Cab for under $300. The Arcade 1Ups are $450 and up (not including the riser) and uses maybe $100 worth of materials. You can do better with a trip to Ikea and buying some step bits and ordering some actual arcade buttons.
