It’s not boring.
I kind of get the impression this is one of those deals where people who don’t really know the source material want to inject their own ideas and make it something nobody asked for.
Felicia is a borderline villain. She’s a manipulative, homewrecking, petty person who also happens to be a skilled thief. She takes advantage of Parker’s insecurities and lures him into romance multiple times. She’s borderline psychotic as she finds herself head over heels for Spidey the hero but almost repulsed by Parker himself.
She’s already way more interesting than you’re giving her credit for, and certainly more interesting than whatever female empowerment story you’re trying to tell. She’s already a strong, confident female. You don’t need some forced narrative to get that idea across.

I mean, she’s not my favorite either but I definitely think there’s interesting qualities to her character.
Certainly more interesting than some lame story about a woman finding her confidence or whatever the fuck.

Only time I like Felicia hardy in anything was the Saturday morning Spider-Man cartoon on fox.
