Jealous! I might have told you about the time I bought a Saturn off eBay because I’d happened on a copy of Castlevania Nocturne In The Moonlight but the guy who shipped it put basically no padding in the already too thin box, so it arrived broken. Glad yours is working!
Apple is only going the Apple Arcade route because mobile gaming is too big to ignore. Steve jobs famously had a disdain for video games and was not happy when games started popping up in the App Store initially.
Jelly as fuck, my dude.
I’m sorry to hear that man. That breaks my heart in multiple ways. Did you at least get your game?
Is LOTR even relevant now? Seems that Golum game should have came out like a decade ago.
Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War did well so the franchise still has legs.
Most of Microsoft, Intel, IBM, and a few other tech giants don’t care about video games at all.
Xbox started as a pet project of Gates, and all 3 mentioned companies makes more from the corporate and industry sales than they do video games.
Does Apple collect 30 percent of sales from Pokemon Go?
It is one of the most popular Fantasy IP out there so there is a market, plus Amazon is working on a LOTR TV series that will be released some time in the future.
I don’t even know. But Idoubt it, Niantic owes more to Nindy than Apple.
Then again Niantic’s engine is based off Google’s GPS software. I am sure Google and Nintendo gets first dibs and Apple has to settle for less than 10%.
Well I found the game for $5 in some used CD store in midtown Atlanta which is what prompted me to get the Saturn. But I since got to play it ony PC using an emulator. It’s definitely an interesting game although definitely not better than the PSX/PSP versions.
But if it is on the Apple store, isn’t there a 30 percent fee across the board on all apps?
I might be confused here, but I thought that’s what Epic is trying to break up.
Yea it’s something of a mess of a port. They clearly knew very little about how the Saturn worked when made the port. The Saturn can do transparencies but they went with that crappy checkerboard filter instead (granted lots of devs did that.) There is slowdown all over the place, man even the rendering of the image is wrong and stretches the pixels out. A mess.
With that said that version has some cool differences none of the other versions have, and it’s still my favorite way to play Maria. They got a little lazy when they included her on the PSP and just ripped off her Rondo moveset.
Lets see how well that game does.
After the beta, i feel that the game could potentially tank.
