I agree, but we both know that isn’t going to happen as People just see it and say :
“OMG why don’t Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo/ Ect don’t support my 8K TV Derp Derp” .
Sony and Microsoft is going to appease that lower common denominator first before they ever listen to their hardcore fans.
It is, especially as most people don’t know 4K is a shit marketing term for " 3840 x 2160 ". I don’t know why we just don’t call it 2160p and call it a day, fuck this 8k nonsense.
And there actually not as much media as people think that actually supports actual 3840 x 2160.
Yes streaming services has now 4K streaming, but compression artifacts ruin the purpose of having 3840 x 2160p video. So you really have to hunt down a 4k Bluray or 4K digital file to get quality 4K video.
Looks to me like a early Xbone or late Xbox 360 title.
Because even Microsoft with all their resources can’t optimize code. Sony who more of a hardware than software company is beating Microsoft who been mostly all about software at software.
Then again Microsoft was never intended to go into gaming, their whole corporate structure and philosophy was built around office and commerce products first.
Hell Top of the line Gaming PCs in the $2500+ range has trouble with 4k at 60hz with Raytracing.
And the Xbox Sex and PS5 wants to do Raytracing. Which we get ether inconstant frame-rates, a lock 30 fps, or shit looking games.
Except that the sweet spot for PC gaming is 1440p, not 2160p (4K).
8K right now is the false prophet. We still can’t get our act together even on 1080p, and you want to talk about 8K.

Motion blur is always hot ass. It’s never made my experience better.

It always been a hot mess. Motion Blur works fine with traditional animation, TV shows, ect, it does not translate well to gaming. It’s also why TV and Movies look like ass at 60hz (also known as the Soap opera effect). But games with a few rate exceptions always look better at 60hz or higher.
Which is why I have a Freesync 165hz 1440p monitor for my desktop and G-Sync 120hz display on my laptop.

Oh yeah 1440p at I think my display is at 144hz is so much better than my old Ben Q with bad motion blur. The thing that Ben Q really does right is the low input lag. But my current Freesync monitor out does the Ben Q monitor by leagues.

Thank god. So we’re probably looking at a battery life of around 8-10 hours based on the battery life of the current PS4 controllers. It’s still eh especially if I’m comparing it Wii U’s and Switch’s Pro controllers but I at least you could potentially not have to charge a controller during a game session.

Doesnt the ps5 controller have some new features and shit. Wonder how the drain will actually be on that controller and if you’ll actually get double the time the ds4 gets?
I would think the rumble and light bar of the DS4 would use more juice than their Dual Sense equivalents but I could be completely off base.

It probably does but then the question would be how do you fuck up a controllers battery so much that a blue light and rumble drains it that quickly?

I’m definitely in the performance over display camp. And I believe DOOM Eternal showed us what’s possible with current gen tech. The onus is on the game developers more so than the hardware at this point.
