I get why they went for a more streamlined and stylized look but unlike my initial displeasure with Streets of Rage 4, I am not seeing enough gameplay hooks for me to get over my apprehension.
I hope it does well for the franchiseās future.

It just looks ugly as fuck and feels like a cornier version fo Street Sharkā āJawsomeā nonsense.
I dont know why youād greenlight that art style. It looks so off that you dont even get a good nostalgia kick from it. KI did better by the toads than the actual toad game.

Your track for some reason wonāt play unless I listen to it on youtube but Minotaur is also a really good choice from GoW1.
I doubt they were going for nostalgia at all. They are clearly going after modern kids and not the ones who grew up with battletoads.

Which is insane to me cause like, all the Battletoads fans are gonna be people our age who played them all those years ago. I really donāt know who they were trying to appeal to with this artstyle. Even as a standalone game it looks bad imo, let alone how huge of a departure it is from OG Battletoads.

This song is a reason why I replay GOW1 at timesā¦especially the first 30 seconds.
When the track plays and the Minotaurs are coming at meā¦I just let it play until they attack meā¦then I parry and start wailing on them.
It fits.
Shitā¦now I want to go play GOW1.

the most offensive thing is how Dark Queen looks, imo. Her old design was sexy. This new Dark Queen is trashā¦and I canāt help but wonder if this is partly the result of the modern trend of certain people who want fictional female characters to be as physically unattractive as possible, since apparently sex appeal is a bad thing with those chumpsā¦yāknow the typeā¦the kind of people that design a character like āTrailblazerā, the fatzo superhero from that āNew Warriorsā book everyone was roasting on youtube a few months ago. 
hahah I still laugh at the very idea that weāre to pretend she can runā¦without getting winded in about 4 or 5 seconds. That first picture shows her running forward, leading that pitiful superhero teamā¦hilarious
