i7 processor requirement? The fuck?!
Anyone who can run* RAGE *on their pc should be able to play the new Wolfenstein, regardless of processor…
[details=Spoiler]I don’t see why people are flipping out over it, it’s like comic fans who nitpick over how an animated series or live-action isn’t a 1:1 representation of the comics themselves.
What’s wrong with them being self-contained stories? At least the material is still acknowledged in some form, maybe not as canon but it’s better than nothing. Some of the best comic book stories are what-if stories. Kingdom Come, Red Son, The Dark Knight Returns, and whole host of others really exemplify that.
I can see that happening for future EU material too, where writers can build some amazing stories without being completely bound by canon limitations. Also maybe this is what Star Wars needs, to wipe the slate clean and start anew with a fresh take on the universe without the flaws and contradictions previously established.[/details]
Long Story Short: Resetting the universe isn’t a horrible thing, it just depends how future stories are told going forward. Even then it’s not like previous EU material can’t inspire new material either, certain characters/stories from past media could still show-up in different scenarios
Original Battlefront was the better Battlefront.
That said, Battlefront 2 took fanservice to a new level.

I still wouldn’t give a shit. You’re wasting time worrying about the most meaningless crap. Just because your game got “retconned” doesn’t mean the time you spent with it was any less fun, and it sure as fuck doesn’t mean that the “story” you just played through can’t be enjoyed anymore because it’s not part of some “canon” or “timeline.” Your game didn’t lose its “meaning” when it got retconned because of all the things I mentioned.
I remember when the Zelda/Castlevania canon/timelines came out. People were losing their shit. Meanwhile, I couldn’t care less.
But for some people feeling connected to that larger storyline and universe is a huge part of the appeal.
Case in point, years back my little cousin was begging for the Bounty Hunter game for PS2 because he is a huge fan of Jango Fett. The game was supposed to tell the story of how he became selected to be the clone template for the Republic armies so he really wanted to play it. He eventually got the game but it was way too hard for him (he was like 8 at the time so give him a break). So he asked me if I would help him play through it so he could get the storyline. That game was kind of a bitch, but I eventually got through it for him.
The primary reason that game was bought and played was to watch how the storyline played out. And to know that is no longer official story kind of cheapens the experience. For many players they no longer feel that connection to the larger storyline because all they were doing is playing through a ‘what if’ scenario. And while George Lucas might have given himself a way to back out of storyline obligations, Star Wars media is largely marketed as being officially connected to that universe.
They certainly don’t market it as “Find out how X might have happened!”.
That reminds me, Bounty Hunter was mad underrated, really fun game and challenging as hell. The stages were all pretty vast with tons of stuff to search for. I need to paly it again and actually beat it.

The screen tearing on the X1 version is awful. That’s probably the reason they killed production of the retail discs. No idea why that version is so dark.
Everybody keeps saying how good the PC version looks… I wanna see for myself.
Man look at Edge being edgy with their 5.
Never thought I’d see multidisc games ever again after the ps1. Makes me feel nostalgic and missing my copy of FF8. Still remember when FF9 was announced and me an my mates thought it would be 5 or 6 discs

Lost odyssey is a 4 disc game
They were replaceable. Then they started working on Xbone and all the guys in engineering or whatever the fuck had seizures and forgot to make that a thing like on 360.
Why are devs being lazy on file compression thinking that a mandatory 50GB install is acceptable?

What happened was the MASSIVE change in system hardware. From always online/online only and all that shit to what it is now.
But, there have been rumors that you’re gonna be able to plug in externals like the Wii
Lost Odyssey is mad underrated, one of my favorite RPG’s ever. Imo the game is that damn good.
Having fun with Child of Light so far, it is simplistic for a RPG but it is fun has a great artstyle, music and overall atmosphere.
Looks like Assault Suits Valken (Cybernator in the US)

Agreed. High PC requirements will make this a poor selling PC game. Not everyone an PC gaming enthusiast.
I though Battlefront 2 and later games int he series suffer from lazy level design
Oh yeah… finally I see how the Marvel characters will look in the Disney Infinity world–

Yeahhhhh I might actually be sold on this already. Ooh, and if M.O.D.O.K. is indeed a playable character/figure? DEFINITELY. Hell yeah, man.
*edit again-- who (aside from female fans wanting another girl character to be/play I suppose) will even bother playing Black Widow? Haha, get her lame ass out of here. She’s only there because of what team she happens to be on…a team that just happened to have quite a successful movie out recently. (*and I will laugh if anyone dares to bring up that old “if I’m going to be staring at a character’s ass for the next few hours…” excuse… it’s the character in this cartoony “Disney Infinity” style, so all the hotness of Scarlett J. in a tight outfit is NOT there. That excuse don’t hold water, bruh.)
There might be no more Oculus Rift
