I have a PSX, PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4, Dreamcast, Genesis and a NES. When was the last time you saw somebody in here not call me an Xbox fanboy? You only have to go 1-2 pages back.

My point was, you’re now in the same boat that I’m in. If you ever mention the X1 and talk about it, you’ll be called a fanboy. So that’s something you’re going to have to get used to.

Don’t say things like that in here. They’ll burn you at the stake like a witch.

The lack of Dreamcast’s make y’all frauds…

Had to edit it in. Easy to forget.

I’m actually still looking for a S-Video to HDMI converter so I can start hooking it up again.

Yeah there’s really no turning back after this shit. Feels like no other shooter will be this thrilling.

The only thing keeping me from buying an Xbone is that I refuse to pay them for a kinect. I don’t want one, and I shall not pay for one.

They got rid of all the shit I despised except fir kinect. So close

WiiU is the only console I’ll buy this gen right now. I have too many games. Something in the range of 300+ that I want to play. I can literally stop buying games for 2 years and still have tons of shit to play.

Oh yeah, give me a high five Dreamcast Rocks.

Only thing that trumps a Dreamcast is a Naomi, Neo Geo MVS or a CPS2

I actually owned a Neo Geo gold cab for a while. I sold it to a developer from Harmonix.

Best part about the DC was using the web browser to go to GameFAQs to download/upload game saves. Not sure why these new systems are so lame about save sharing.

^ Achievements and Trophies are taken that serious

I personally miss Gamesharks and Action Replays.

I thought they only did that to Nintendo fans… :coffee:

Bayonetta 2 ocean of salty tears… Never Forget…

I thought the NAomi was the Dreamcast?

Gamesharks are gone because of Online gaming.
Saves being locked to PSN n shit is achievement bullshit.

Well…I think you’re an xbox fanyboy…but not a bad kinda fanboy. You seem to love that shit and keep up with the all the news about it and what not. Thats all I ever see you posting about…but then I dont really look in many threads.

I was thinking about it and man, im a weird gamer. Well, I dont seem to be like a lot of folks on the internets at least. I dont give a fuck if some developers get laid off or a studio goes bankrupt. I dont care how many consoles/handhelds a company sells and I dont care how many of whatever games sell. I see people posting big ass charts and shit and arguing about this shit like they hold stock or some shit. Fuckin’ dorks man.

Action Replay was ghetto as fuck, but it made Vice City a hell of a time. If Im thinking of the right disk that is.

Not exactly, the main difference is how memory is handled and how much there was. Naomi had more memory so less of it was mirrored all over the place if course some of it was needed since audio couldn’t be read from the gd-rom.

The thing is there is 3 different Naomi versions that were released.

Atomiswave by Sammy has even less ram than the Naomi 1 made to be extremely cheap boards. Still has more memory than the dreamcast.
Naomi 1 Double the Ram of the DC.
Naomi 2 The updated Naomi 1 board just double the ram of Naomi 1 and is cross compatible with Naomi 1 games.

I know the jump isn’t as big as psx based arcade hardware but it was enough that it took time to port over games still.

you were stupid enough to not install an ad blocking plug-in to your browser?

Pleb life must be hard running IE 6 on your Athalon XP build.

I am hype as fuck for Smash3ds this summer.

Think Geo just says he owns a ps4 so people would leave him alone

Pretty much what I was going to say.

Also the Naomi didn’t necessarily have to use the GD drive for games. Some games where on carts, some were on the same GD as the Dreamcast.
But unlike the Dreamcast, the Naomi only read the GD disc once at boot up and loaded the game into a DIMM board, where its held in ram.
That way the Drive didn’t wore out prematurely in a Arcade Environment.

There is some exciting development now with the Naomi and the Raspberry Pi. Using a Net DIMM board (games loaded over local Ethernet) with the Raspberry Pi as a sort of mini File server.
What made the Naomi and Dreamcast so great is their specs were so similar, it made Naomi to Dreamcast ports arcade perfect. Only other system that enjoyed perfect Arcade ports was the NEO GEO from the MVS over to the AES and the NEO GEO CD.

More modern systems like the new Taito Type X are actually just a PC running a Custom version of Windows XP
