MS has left the video game biz folks. The sooner we all realize this the sooner we can shift our attention to other things. They’re not selling a gaming console anymore, it’s an entertainment box. I’ve said it before, making a living room media box has been Microsoft’s goal since the time Bill Gates first introduced the original Xbox at CES 2001. Difference then was the engineers who worked on the original XB were gamers so they had the thing focus on games at first. Those guys aren’t with the company anymore so it’s no surprise MS is going back to their original plan.
MS has left a void and I’d rather another company like Samsung enter the industry with their own box… it’d be the home of every K-MMORPG starring avatars that look like strippers. The genre might even become mainstream.
