I was going to post the Sony here maybe I should? People calling out EA in those because they censored a song in a Madden release that name drops Colin Kaepernik, when he was kneeling about this madness going on.

Sony answering and addressing it head on, without mincing words.

I’m in VA close to Richmond where some of the protests are happening. It’s nice to see the game industry take a stand.

You guys know that innocent people died to the hands of rioters and looters too right?

Well aware of it. I’m even aware of the black federal cop that died during the riots last night. This whole situation is shitty and I’ve seen enough anger on both sides since Friday night. Regardless, we would not be at this point if some shitty cops didn’t continue to kill innocent people and George being detained and still having his life snuffed out was the last straw. I don’t agree with the destruction and chaos (some of it not even being done by people who give a damn about the cause) but I understand why its happening. I’m not going to get into a full blown discussion of this in this thread cause that’s going too far off topic but if someone in the game industry wants to say ā€˜we hear you’ then I don’t mind seeing it.

I played the Soul Sacrifice demo and I liked it a lot. Wish it would come to PS4 or PS5. I liked everything about it. The dreary atmosphere, the somber soundtrack, the grim setting. It’s so metal!! :metal:

but yeah, would be day 1 for me, too!!

I finished Aftermath last night.

Overall, pretty damn good, as usual. Though I definitely expected more of a twist towards the end. Shang Tsung is clearly the star here and is even further solidified as one of my favorite characters in this franchise.

I wish they’d get creative more often with the playable fights though. You had some in the base story, like where you have to fight Kano as Sonya without any of her gun related moves. Or when you fight two people at once. There’s really not much changing it up other than those. Kinda just feels like a shooting gallery of shitty AI for the most part.

Whole expansion is worth it just for Tagawa’s performance tho. Dude is such a phenomenal actor. It was SO entertaining watching this little shit tread the line between being worth their trust or just a huge liability. I sat down thinking I’d play a chapter or two, and ended up finishing the whole thing in one sitting lol.

3 new characters, 4 new stages, and about 4 or 6 hours of new story content. Alongside the free updates to the game. For 40 bucks I’d say I got my money’s worth. :+1:

At $40 I was expecting to also give me the season 1 DLC characters too.

Too steep of a price for me still

I’ll wait for the Komplete Kollection…I mainly care about the single player portion.

This
40 bucks for 3 chars, some stages that are whatever and an story that is pure spectacle and 0 substance that after 1 play i will never touch again, is too pricey if you ask me.

If at least they gave us an option to buy the chars and just bypass the rest of the bullshit.

40 bucks…that is ridiculous for the content you’re getting. It SHOULD be 10-20 bucks max. 40 bucks is a brand new game like 1 month after release. Shiiiiiiiiet, I just paid 30 bucks for a sealed copy of Vampyr. Shoutouts to Million for selling me on the game, so far it seems like a sleeper hit as I’ve seen no one talk about it other than him. I want to play it a bit more tonight then I’ll give some impressions tomorrow. I liked what I’ve played so far though, which is a good sign.

Physical version of Aftermath is pretty much the Komplete Kollection…unless NRS announces more characters afterwards.

Which I believe will happen…

Hell, dare to say it, not even SF V was stingy with the upgrade shit when Arcade Edition and Champion Edition were released. And don’t give me that crap about the extra chapters in Story Mode, because that is simply ridiculous

yesss yesss… naturally it warms my heart to see yet another one get ā€œturnedā€ to the world of Vampyr.

One thing I was thinking about with this game just recently— it would’ve been interesting if it had the ā€œsafetyā€ feature that Fable games had for the populated town areas (*this is where you still have access to all your abilities in town, and if you want to start attacking people; turn off ā€œsafetyā€ and go wild; from a design standpoint, I think the other reason it’s there is to prevent situations where the player attacks npcs truly by accident, thus ruining the immersion/roleplay of a ā€œgood guyā€ play-thru.)… I’d say that way of doing things satisfies those who want to go through as full-on ā€œripperā€ mode, tearing everyone apart first chance they get.

In terms of story that would also present problems, obviously…ha ha…they’d have to then write up how the characters react when they realize that Dr. Reid is a vamp. On another note—there’s 1 delusional character at the hospital I would really liked to have the option to turn, because the results there would’ve been interesting or at least amusing…considering what her delusion happens to be.

Diablo 3— sheeeeitttt, I’m up to paragon level 516 at this point with the seasonal wizard. Damage is off the damn charts… I’m hitting monsters for TRILLIONS now.
