i could just use pcx2 for all my ps2 games at this point except valkyrie profile 2 and it freaks out when i use anima in xenosaga 3. at this point thereâs almost no excuse for anything but ps3 because of the cell and i donât think the vita has an working emulator but sony should have that covered but their prob gonna be more interested in milking everyone for cash. at the least itâll have native ps4 backwards compatibility.
They probably just repurpose something from a Dev Kit or something.
Sony did buy out Bleem and hire alot of their Devs to get the PS1 backwards compatibility working
yeah itâs super sudden and suspect. and i already believe sony is gonna show itâs ass next gen because of ps4 success. but theyâll cover it at first with a bunch of announcements and then the bullshit will come.
@nickmanx5 I donât think anyone would have batted an eye if Sony had announced he was retiring. Heâs been with Sony for over 30 years. It would be expected and everyone would accept it.
But so suddenly? In the middle of a Monday evening/night? With no announcement of his successor like Reggie did with Doug Bowser?
Doesnât really add up imo. Some shit definitely had to have gone down for this to happen so abruptly

Shawn Laydenâs departure is hella weird. PS4 is at its peak, both in popularity and financially, Sonyâs next console is right around the corner (announcement might even be coming in just months from now), and Iâm pretty sure PlayStation doesnât have any other public figures besides Mark Cerny and Shuhei Yoshida now
Maybe itâs all just speculation and weâre overthinking it, but according to Greg Miller Sony always makes a press release/blog post about an important person leaving the company, and yet here itâs just a tweet. Layden himself also still has âWorldwide Studios | Sony Interactive Entertainmentâ in his Twitter bio.
So either thereâs something shady going on inside the PlayStation HQ walls, or this is just a continuation of a pattern where biggest heads at Sony leave the company once theyâre past the 50 years old mark - Jack Tretton, Andrew House, Kaz Hirai (yes I know heâs Sonyâs CEO still), Ken Kutaragi, and now Shawn Layden all fit the criteria, so methinks Yoshida may be next up.

I personally think Jim Ryan is gonna have a bad time as chairman of SIE. After all, he was the public face behind Sony cockblocking crossplay for fucking ever.

Ha, i was just about to post the Terminator vid. Anyways, I like everything about him EXCEPT the voice, horrible imitation, Iâve heard way better.
I loved the little touches like him losing his skin and gaining juggernaut armor. Him having a portal teleport is neat too. They pretty much nailed it
