I still haven’t gotten around to Infamous: Festival of Blood… partially because I wasn’t a big fan of Infamous in the first place; it was “ok” at best…overshadowed in a big way by Prototype, imo. I also never played Darkwatch…that may have been due to Unreal Championship 2 taking up most of my time in the original Xbox era.
Interesting to see they left off Code Vein on this list…though understandable. The characters in CV…it’s an odd thing to describe but they’re “so anime” that I think some may forget at times they’re supposed to be “vampires”.
I probably would’ve rated Dawnguard (even though it’s an expansion instead of a separate game) and Vampyr a bit higher on the list. Vampyr gets so many things about the lore right in a satisfying way to me… and they perfectly executed a “game mechanic” way to make feeding into the strong temptation it should be, by tying your exp and thus your power to it in a big way. (it’s the biggest source of exp…so not feeding on people effectively handicaps you in terms of power.) …but yeah, all the things I enjoy about any vampire character and story are there— mesmerize/compulsion, turning people, other cool superhuman abilities, vampire hierarchies/cliques, living a double life as people are unaware of what you really are, etc. Vampyr has alllll that shit going on and it is that much more awesome as a result.
Code Vein does nothing with blood lust so you pretty much never have to deal with it as a concept. Sure there is Frenzy but that just turns you into a giant monster to fight. Not really the same as needing to feed, or really dealing with the fallout of someone needing to feed. You just kill them and keep on truckin. Your character can’t suffer from Frenzy and neither will any of your team mates so…yea.
They are also “Man made” Vampires using a parasite attached to the heart. Not really Vampires.

man the way granblue is being handled outside of asian markets is just super weird to me. i went ahead and got the hk version but its such a solid game it doesn’t deserve to bomb outside the fgc. but maybe the asian sales are already enough to consider it a success to cygames?

the dub is done and in other versions and you can unlock the original costumes by doing single player i honestly don’t know what the hell happened.

as soon as i saw the other versions had the dub and fully translated english i knew that couldn’t be it. my best guess is must be something with production on the physical copies and it would piss retailers off if they went ahead and dropped the digital version.
I think Xseed is trying out who they can remove from the credits.
You can buy the Asian version now and get the English Dub.

man i felt really bad for xseed when they got ys and trails yanked after building up the brand and by nis america of all companies but now im starting to think they must have fucked something up.
The new training mode actually looks like it tries to teach what to do in situations. Interesting.
