So far I am liking the game.
It plays a bit like Valkyrie Profile with a Almost Fighting Mechanic style timed Hits and Blocking system.
Combat It might be too simple for someone who plays Fighters. But the Story and Exploration so far been top notice.
Warning Forever is fucking dope man. I love how each boss adapts to how you fight it. Good amount of replay value. Was that you playing in the video? I remember those purple bullet swarms chewing me up to. Damn nightmare lol.
Another Doujin Shmup you can srill download for free easily is Cho Ren Sha 68k. That game is super cool to.
Most reviews for it I have seen have enjoyed it, especially if you like the art style and the old JRPG classic Valkyrie Profile’s combat, which is unique because it had you assign characters to buttons and allowed combos. However, it is not the greatest JRPG ever, nor does it hit on any particular high notes besides the faithful adaptation of the combat system.
I have not played it yet but I guess for those that have not been part of the kickstarter and want something along the lines of great art and combat, this game is fine. But if you followed the original scope, you might see where they had to make compromises. In the end, I will get it down the line but comparing this to Mighty No 9, is an exaggeration. Mighty No 9 was bland game play, terrible graphics and art design after many years and a lot of hype. If you can’t tell all the work that went into Indivisible from a team that previous effort was just a fighting game, you should look into game development more. Shit isn’t easy as ripping assets.
Eagle eyed fans noticed that Mitsubishi quietly pulled their sponsorship of Blizzard esport events. I’m curious to know if any other of Blizzards sponsors dropped support.
That’s just something that happens with all games. We’re just aware of it in kickstarter games and certain fighting games (SF5) where the devs talk too much about the early dev process. There’s a lot of stuff cooking and sometimes things don’t work out how you wanted them too.
This was definitely an issue with SF5. The alpha for SF5 had Chun doing batshit crazy things. Then they basically took all of it away by the time the live version came. A lot of stuff happened between the Beta and release too. Unfortunately when you rollback like that people always go “where’s all the stuff you showed me” not “look at all the stuff I have”.
Also, these guys are doing dumb expensive 2D art for everything. They are purposefully choosing to do clusterfucky work without having a big enough studio for it or a big sugar daddy to finance years worth of it. People are gonna have to settle their expectations with Lab Zero when it comes to a lot of things mostly because of that expensive process.
I’ve only ever backed one thing on crowd funding. It was the Genko wireless bluetooth adapter for Switch. It works fantastic.
I’m not a fan at all of that whole platform though. I’m not a fan of putting the risk on the potential customers instead of the company. But … I supported it, so I guess I’m a hypocrite lol.
Kicked an iOS version of a board game I really liked. That went great. Still play it. It’s called Boss Monster.
Kicked Yooka-Laylee for PS4. Minimum amount to get a PSN code. Meh. Disappointed. The worlds were fucking huge when compared to how little there was to actually do in each world. Really fucked with pacing and made exploration a chore rather than something you want to do.
Kicked Mighty Number 9 for $170. Never even got to play it. I didn’t even receive my physical edition either.
Kicked a game called Adventures of Pip for PS4. AWESOME game. Loved it. Fun little platformer. Only kicked for the minimum. I wish I had kicked it for more.
Kicked a miniatures game called Relic Knights. I don’t remember my pledge level. I think I kicked it for $100? About 8 friends and I all kicked it at various levels. We all got our backer kits. But almost 3 years after the fact when the campaign said it’d be roughly a year. By the time we all got ours none of us cared. I opened my backer kit to make sure I got everything under my pledge level. When I confirmed I had I taped up the box and put it in the basement.
Kicked a candy company for some new chocolates they had coming out. Delicious.
I originally intended to kick other stuff but ultimately didn’t.
Pulled my pledge from Shenmue III. I got caught up in the hype but as deadline came closer I thought if I’d I even wanted to play the game or not due to how much I disliked Shenmue I. It has not aged even remotely well and I don’t have the fondness or nostalgic memories of it because I never owned a Dreamcast until almost 10 years after it stopped being produced. I’ve also never played II. So I pulled my pledge. Glad I did because the game doesn’t look good at all.
Pulled my pledge for 2 different board games too. The mega man board game and the tmnt city at war board game. I don’t remember why I cancelled my pledge for these though.
I’m starting to like ASW more as a FGC dev than Capcom. That tends to be the case when you … I don’t know … actually try to fix shit than try to placate your base and don’t actually fix your fucking game.
@Hawkingbird - That Sofmap cel as the preorder bonus for Granblue is
That might number 9 trailer reminds of Wanda the Owl from BoJack Horseman. It as if they took someone who was in a coma since the 90s and recently woke up. And hired them to market this game. It’s the only explanation for that kinda cringe.
“Hey you. Looking at the screen. Let me ask you a question. Do you like awesome things, that are…AWESOME!?” Like wtf??? Lmao! Not even 90s Sonic The Hedgehog tried that hard to be “Kewl” and “rad”
Yeah, Indivisible kinda gets worse the further in it you go. I liked it a lot at first for the combat but I was expecting it to get more complicated as time goes on but it really doesn’t. I do think the platforming is decently fun the further in you go though. All of the deviantart OCs are a massive fucking eyesore though. The story is super generic and the characters don’t seem to really have much depth or be very interesting.
I haven’t finished the game yet but kinda losing motivation, especially when I still have Monster Hunter and Luminous Avenger lol
Looking at the Call of Duty commercial, I have come to realize, we have never had a dope GI Joe game have we? I mean you would think that would be a easy sell, you can even go GoldenEye on N64 and mute the blood effects to keep it To for Teen.
