Most likely, especially since they got burned by the PS3 absurd price. Chances are they had a few tiered options laid out and would choose the one that undercut the XB1 the best. No coincidence they also had the ultimate shade in the “Sharing Games” video also ready to go within a few hours.

It’d be hilarious though if Microsoft also wanted to do that to Sony so there’d be this gigantic game of chicken to see who puts out the price first so the competitor can undercut.

Is there a kickstarter to prevent the Wonderful 101 from getting a rerelease, and maybe bury that game forever? :coffee:

But seriously, Good for Platinum for going Multi-plat. Hopefully they get off their Nintendo crutch and become a real player

Yeah. Nintendo sure is a bunch of dicks because they saw the potential and money in franchises like W101, Bayo, and Astral Chain when no one else would. Nintendo has also gave them more-or-less complete creative freedom to do what they want. Which Platinum has said several times in regards to both.

What a bunch of cocks, that Nintendo.

I may not like most platinum games but they’ve earned the respect, praise and fan base they’ve garnered. Some of which Nintendo had a huge hand in cultivating. Would you have rather them been bought by Xbox? Or just not exist?

Either you’re being purposely antagonistic or you’re actually this fucking stupid. Some days it’s really hard to tell.

No you fucking dingbat.
I mean Platinum doing well enough to independent of Nintendo. Being a 2nd party dev to Nindy is a death trap.

They’d have died otherwise so it was actually a safety net.

I see it more as a abusive relationship.
That whole deal with Star Fox Zero isnt a fluke on my mind.

But ether way, it’s good to see P* grow.

Star Fox 0 isn’t a fluke. It’s then doing the job they where asked to do which is make a game to Nintendo’s specifications as they are the ip holder. It wasnt a fluke it was a mistake, Nintendo’s mistake not platinums.

You’re making very little sense right now.

Nah that was Microsoft. I don’t see Scalebound on Kickstarter.

Yeah. There is definitely a good game buried deep in SFZ but due to Nintendo Miyamoto being oddly controlling and demanding with the whole production of the game it got bogged down but so much needless fucking bullshit that ultimate killed the game.

It’s still the only Wii U title I regret buying.

Wait, THAT’S what the salt was about? I was thinking it was Xbox owners being salty it isn’t coming to their system but you’re saying it’s Nintendo fanboys? lol

Yeah, Nindy fan boys don’t like to share.

That recent Pokemon Snap interview explains the whole situation honestly.

Fixed.

I own W101 on Wii U.

I’m going to buy it again on Switch.

And maybe even PS4 because fuck it, its awesome.

I’m at work so not in a position to Google-fu it right now, but the gist of the interview was that they haven’t made a new Pokemon Snap because they don’t have a new idea for one and they “dont see the point of making the same game twice.” That’s why Star Fox 0 is the way it is. Miyamoto sees making another normal corridor shmup as making Star Fox 64 again and doesnt see the point. It needs a “new” idea or gimmick for him to feel it’s worth making.

I don’t agree at all but it explains a lot of why Nintendo games tend to be the way they are, for better and for worse.

It was more that the stretch goal for the PS4 version was $500,000 where as the Switch’s was $50,000 and Steam’s was $200,000. This was when it was announced and some took to it that it was P* trying to get out of developing for the PS4, lol.

Really hope it takes it off on all platforms. I would love to get a sequel!
