Stamina and resource management is part of the game. It’s in small parts a survival game. You’re not meant to skip all of the small details they have littered through the world as you rush to every single main plot point. You’re supposed to soak it in and build your own narrative around how you choose to approach the game and handle its various hazards.
It’s not really a fast paced game by any means. I think your complaints are more of a personal nature than they are objective criticisms.
Since everyone was admitting stuff that would get you shamed in other spots I’m gonna go ahead and say i like skyward sword and not only do I like it I think it’s better than twilight princess although tp might have better dungeons

Probably my bias yeah. Pretty sure I don’t like survival games. So I didn’t like the survival sandbox transition from previous LoZ games. Just felt wrong.

Skyward Sword is cool. I think people dogpiled on it a lot simply for the motion controls.
Edit: @eskills that’s fair. In a lot of ways BOTW is different from other Zeldas, but it shares a lot of similarities as well.
I mean…ok? Yea man games not for you. You sound really impatient which to me says you don’t like exploring. You sound like youre in a rush. This game isn’t about rushing. There is no need to rush. Take away the stamina system and the whole thing loses a lot of gameplay merit. The climbing is no longer a gameplay mechanic, just a traversal mechanic for example. It turns into a walking simulator, there is no decision making or skill value to moving around really. When you can sprint everywhere there’s no real reason for a walk to exist. It’s like how speed runners just back dash through SOTN because it’s more efficent. It’s not a gameplay decision and it takes no real skill to do so there is no reason not to abuse it. Then look at botw speed runs and you see a wealth of creative movement decisions because it’s actually a gameplay element. It’s something you actually have to manage and make choices with and live with those decisions.
I get not liking it but the stamina system is a big part of what makes exploration in BOTW work and feel rewarding. Take it away and it’s a very different game. Take Stamina away from Souls and they become wildly different games just the same.
It’s just not for you, but that’s a taste issue more then anything. Nothing wrong with it either.

I like basically every LoZ before Botw. Don’t think I’m impatient, Survival sandbox is just wack. Get it out of my Zelda games please.
I’m so bored of the old formula…how are you not?
I don’t like any Zelda game

Improve on the old formula then. Just felt like they turned the series into a weird spinoff. It’s cool they tried something new I guess. It’s like the turn based Yakuza coming lol.
It’s whatever though. The next LoZ better have dungeons atleast.
Old formula is so stale. They’ve squeezed all the water they can from that rock man. It’s very clear the series was getting into trouble because they where out of ideas. You can only iterate so many times before the well runs dry.
More robust dungeon experiences do need to come back tho yea.

This was me at one point, and then I realized I was wrong the whole time. It’s never too late to grow.

While I’m admitting stuff Mario 3D world is better than odyssey, ff13-2 is the best of that trilogy and grandia 2 is better than 1

Ah, but maybe I preemptively grew out of it

I generally hate the kind of exploring the Legend of Zelda games entail as there is always something obscurely hidden that will require a guide and too often it is a piece of something as opposed to a whole thing. My idea of a good open world is basically a group of islands that are closely interconnected and can be individually traversed from one end to the other in 5 minutes but have a ton of interactive stuff inbetween that is obvious.

i still haven’t played yoshi’s island yet but so far the galaxy games are better than all the 2d games ive played
I’m honestly not a very big fan of 3D Marios game feel. I don’t hate it and it’s not bad, but I like sharper movement in 3D and Mario’s move animations and such are hella slippery imo.
SM3DW is my favorite 3D Mario. Easily.
6 Golden Coins is easily my favorite 2D Mario
