The weak dungeons is what really made me not like Botw.

Travel sucked too. It was annoying as hell and never fun.

I like exploring too. But it was attached to running, horse, climbing, rain, gliding and a dumb stamina meter.

I hate horse riding in basically every game and the other systems in place were a chore.

The only thing i didn’t like about botw was the dungeons and the blight bosses were kinda lame but I really like climbing shit in games and this particular game you can climb anything with enough effort so I didn’t mind traveling.

I think the dungeon complaint has always been fair for the simple reason that BOTW does not have dungeons really, period.

It’s more so the jump to an even bigger open world and just generally pretty slow traversal. I don’t mind exploring, but I like getting from point A to B and not feeling bored.

Peeps were talking about spider-man. I can get around damn quick and even fast travel. Something I really hope that gets addressed as the open world games get bigger is to give faster travel options at the bare minimum.

Yea I get the dungeon complaint, I like the shrines but have always said it needed more Hyrule Castle style locations. I would have been happy with 20 or 30 less shrines for 2 or 3 more Hyrule Castles.

Weapon breaking <–this seems like the most polarizing issue of Breath of the Wild…and yeah I’m one of those people that hates this 1 detail of the game. I think once you’ve put weapon durability into a game, there should always be some way to repair them. It’s such a downer that you can’t really get ā€œattachedā€ to having anything in that game, because the shit will just break in 2 or 3 combos.

It wouldn’t feel like such a chore if you weren’t constantly cockblocked by stamina. Hell all my complaints wouldn’t be if I had an option to turn stamina off or something.

They are all replaceable…no need to repair them when you can get brand new ones for free…

I’m just sayin.
