Yeah, it is the danger when one company has so many good IP, you see it with Nintendo, Sega Activision Blizzard and EA, they bank on the money makers and sometimes only throw the other less successful ones a bone if one of your star creators or teams wants to do it.
Sucks even more when they don’t recognize what made the IP popular with the smaller fan base it has and fuck it up going for larger markets. Shout out to Star Fox!

The issue with Star Fox is they keep trying to make it something it isn’t. Make it an on-rail shooter with maybe some action adventure or Third Person Shooter Elements.
Star Fox Command for Gamecube was a step in the right direction. I liked the variation of the missions. The TPS missions made you feel like Fox McCloud instead of just a ship that has a voice and talks to other ships, you know?
Zero would have been awesome if it hadn’t been for Miyamoto being a stubborn piece of shit and making platinum base the control scheme around the Wii U pad. Which literally no one wanted.
Also it being another reimagining of Star Fox SNES was a fucking bummer too.
You could tell there was a good game in SFZero somewhere but it was buried by so many beyond fucking stupid and frustrating decisions that it’s not worth finding

I agree except on the third person shooter elements, outside of vehicles and Smash Bros. I have never enjoyed playing Fox and co on foot. Maybe if Platinum made it feel like Vanquish or Metal Gear Revengence but the standard stuff we only ok and I saw it far too much on the GC games.
