SNK was never revived after it went bankrupt in 2000. SNK Playmore put out the Atomiswave junk which was merely an imitation of SNK’s NeoGeo releases with stronger hardware. Though I suppose Playmore has better presentation quality standards than Eolith did with its KoF releases (2001 and 2002). Sadly, Playmore still embodies mediocrity in the balance, gameplay, and design departments despite legally branding themselves as SNK nowadays.

Playmore is no longer in the picture, a few years back SNK Playmore got more or less bought out by a Chinese company and they have been steering the ship since I believe KOF XIV and the ugly as sin KOF CG cartoon. They aren’t SNK but they got cash and invest better then even SNK did past the mid 90s, hence why Samurai Shodown looks as good as it does also why there are so many SNK based mobile games.

The current SNK license owners’ output is in line with the junk put out by SNK Playmore and has many of the same people involved. Regardless, the original SNK is dead and buried for all intents and purposes.

your prob right but i can’t hate a company who resurrected samurai shodown and gave me a season pass for free and at the end of the day if the biggest prob with an snk game is it’s ugly as shit then were alot better off than we used to be but thats my opinion.

Most KOF games are ugly as shit anyway, even during “true” SNK era so that’s hardly a complaint one can dump on just playmore.

My feelings as well, they aren’t perfect but SNK never was and as long as they keep up with quality games they are fine.

I mean it isn’t like the shit show they have wearing Atari’s brand these days. That is a legacy that is lost right there.

I feel like I’m somewhat aware of this cartoon but when I look through the files of my mind palace I keep getting corrupted data/data not found. I have a feel I repressed this show out of my memories.

Edit: holy hell at that Bravestarr intro. I was not aware of this at all. 80’s and 90’s western animation was a crazy period for idea experimentation.
