I am on the fence at the moment, As for the PS5? If it has backwards for more than just the PS4 I might get it just to declutter my entertainment center. Or maybe as a Upgrade to my PS4 if I don’t see any PS5 games that catch my eye

I’m guessing it’s going to come out in Feb, since it’ll probably came in at the last second. Another blast from the past that month haha. Grabbing it on the Switch though.
Started up NMH after the NMH3 trailer hype since it’s been a loooooong time (left off at the Gunslinger in the Baseball stadium). First time playing this since I bought a new Tv and…wow. Wii games through Wii U BC on a modern tv is something alright, lol. Game’s style more than makes up for it, however. Think I’ll grab NMH 2 instead of waiting for the HD ports, which I’m sure will happen.
The Shinobu fight and setup was fantastic. Can’t wait to see more of this. Keeping my eye on TSA since the physical version is cheaper and still comes with the Seasons Pass

Nuform from Doomsday Warrior on the SNES predates Dural and Seth.
I hope image works, sometimes images and .gifs dont play nice on mobile. I remember playing it back in the day, the music is awesome and after each fight you could build your stats.

Dude if you liked Batrider then yea take Gasaraki’s advice and look at other Rizing/8ing shmups. Specifically ones directed by Shinobu Yagawa, almost all of his games are pretty similar in feel and design. Take a look at the Bat Trilogy of games, Battle Garegga, Armed Police Batrider (already seen) and Battle Backraid. My favorite of his arcade offerings is Ibara when he worked at Cave.
I also highly recommend looking into how Batrider works if you want to play it more. It’s really important to understand how rank works in that game or else you’ll never finish it due to how insanely hard it becomes without good rank managment. There are also tons of secret score opportunities in Batrider.
Obligatory recommendation of Batsugun. It’s from a different company but it rocks. It’s Toaplans last shmup, was directed by the guy who founded Cave and is just fucking awesome. Batsugun Special is even better.

Gotta admit, Seth is looking like one of the most inspired characters they’ve added to this game. I thought Gill looked cool just for being straight ripped out of 3S but, Seth looking like a whole new character almost. I feel like that character looks so fucking cool it honestly transcends the game itself.
Didn’t even realize Gill and the new V Skills were dropping today too. Broly, Leroy, and Gill keeping me busy. It’s been a great month for the only 3 fighters I play anymore. 
sheeeittt, Seth and Gill …and Necalli; I like that one too… those are designs that deserve to be in a much better game, imo.
