Wew, Black Friday hath violated my wallet once again. I picked up a ton of Switch shit.
DBFZ, Power Rangers, Megaman X Collection, Celeste, Risk of Rain 2, Crypt of The Necrodancer, and Downwell.
I also copped another copy of Mario Odyssey (finally, my other cartridge got lost) and a 256 gig SD card from Best Buy. Alongside pretty much all the gift shopping I needed to do for Christmas peeps.
Kinda wanna cop Dat CRASH BANDICOOT on Switch for 15 bucks, but Iād like to do some research on how it runs first. Considering that yung Overwatch for 20 bones too.
All in all, spent about $100 bucks. I think Iām good on my Black Friday purchases. All jokes aside this has probably actually been one of my moreā¦ āfiscally responsibleā Fridays.

GOG apparently requires ownership of the game to have access to that. I just wishlisted the deluxe edition of Valfaris and will probably get it on Saturday.

I just found out that this dlc is in theory a collab with the anime dumbbell na kilo moteru
Right now they are giving some freebies, like title ranks (meh) and some costumes

i was impressed by how he managed to cross that windmill looking place without using force powers and just acrobatic skill, impressed me tho.
Persona 5 is literally $10 on PSN right now. No excuses to not pick it up for anyone who likes anything even resembling a JRPG.

It paints a dark shadow to the world of dumbbell, lol.
Specially when multiple chars are family of chars from Kengan, like Akemi being the sister of the chairman of the academy from wich Setsuna was the warrior, or how one of the teachers is part of the Cure clan and is Karuraās mother.

Dope. Iām definitely gonna finish them.
The audio quality is poop, the dialog is corny af, Ryo is a robot and the combat is clunkyā¦ And yet this still all amounts to an incredibly charming world to exist in. Thereās a lot to complain about in this game, but it somehow averages out to something Iām enjoying immensely. I have to respect how much it insists on being its own unique thing.
Aside from the novelty of playing a game that feels like itās straight up out of a time capsule, itās really fun to just seek out all the little details in the world. Iāve easily spent hours in the arcade. Iāve spent hundreds on dumbass coin slot figurines. Thereās shopping, pool, casinos, hidden scenesā¦ All kinds of stuff that makes for great world building. Especially considering when this came out. Itās easy to see how it set so many technical and mechanical standards for open world games. As much as the clock can be an annoying mechanic, itās also a pretty organic way to incentivize exploration.
Shenmue 2 could honestly change jack shit about the formula and Iām all about it. My biggest concern is whether or not it also has a dope arcade.

Itās also been a great eye opener as to why people love Yakuza so much. Iām honestly more compelled to finally finish 0 now than ever before.
