you act as if it is impossible to send huge files via Dropbox and stuff. What do you think how long it would take them to actually play trough the whole game by them self. Majority of games are not so long and at the end it raises the question if you have to play trough a full game to give it a rating. Might not be perfect but better what they do now and most likely more reasonable because I bet the majority of them never touched a game to begin with which leads to the current system.

I didnt say it was impossible. I said was highly infeasable. I asked how do you do it efficently, Dropbox is not efficient. Even with drop box it takes hours to download a video of that size ignoring how long it takes to upload it to begin with. Even beyond that watching that video is highly infeasable. People on YouTube literally do this and it takes months of time to even put that kind of product together for casual viewing much less legit analysis of themes and content.
Lots of games arenât hundreds of hours but lots of games are hundreds of hours. You canât just ignore the fact that a lot games take a long time to finish just because some other games are relatively short. Bayonetta is pretty short but you have to medal well to see everything and that isnât a short experience. We gotta wait for the ESRB to pure platinum Bayonetta 3 and see everything before we get to play? Iâve been playing Astral Chain solidly for a month and I still havent seen everything and getting the equivilant of a Pure Platinum in Astral Chain is waaaay easier then say Bayonetta. Thatâs not even getting into the fact these games have hard modes designed to crush people who donât dedicate shit loads of time. No ESRB drone is going to finish Vanquish on God Mode, or Ninja Gaiden on Master Ninja or Bayonetta on Non Stop Infinite Climax Mode.

The ESRB system is a jack off circle to make politicans happy in the 90s.
Itâs a system to keep government out of gaming regulation. Itâs self regulation. Itâs not to educate anybody, itâs to keep government fingers out of shit they need not have their fingers in.

The film rating board actually watch the whole film from beginning to end, book rating read the whole book from cover to cover, and promotional materials are reviewed too.
If Game reviewers are to review games and place a recommended age rating, they need to do more than watch a 5 min trailer the game studio made tailored made for the ESRB.

Yes they are. Their job is to slap a letter on a box and keep government the fuck out of game regulation. For 30+ years now they have been succeeding.
Yea, so? Those arenât videogames, the standards and intake methods are different.
They arenât reviewers, they are a ratings board. They donât need to spend 24 hours grinding Mementos. Thatâs a huge waste of everyoneâs time when Atlus can just tell them wtf is in the game.

Every other rating board for other media go and experience the whole medium, and not a 5 min tailored video trailer.
Films , books, music albums, ect gets rating boards too.
I dont trust the likes of EA and Activision to put out a honest presentation of their properties.
You donât buy EA and Activision so that doesnât really matter honestly.
You dont think they leave our key features of their tailored trailer to get pass the ESRB to get a better rating?

No because it would come out that they lied the moment the game releases. Hot Coffee didnt go well for Rockstar and they didnât even lie, they where unnaware. For their to be proof positive of a lie would be even worse.
I also donât think they will lie because the whole point of ESRB is to keep the government out of their business. Lying would make the ESRB useless and invite government intervention, something EA and Activision donât fucking want.
Lying literally works against their interest. They arenât that fucking stupid. What is there to even lie about? M rated games sell gangbusters, an M ratings isnât even close to a death sentence for a video game so what incentive is there to lie? I guess they might lie to get an AO raring down to M but then the game sells, has explicit content in it and now they are in trouble for trying to sell porn.
Seriously what incentive do any of these developers have to lie? They would be found out instantly, it would be nothing but bad PR and probably hefty fines. I mean Those CTR guys just got a ton of bad press for sneaking loot boxes in months later. You think lying will work out for them?
ESRB are developers allies so whatâs the incentive? What do they get out of lying?

Truth. Lootboxes, though theyâre a dirty word now, are still the AAA publishersâ best shot at wild income. You can bet they will try everything under the sun to keep them going until legislation puts the casket in the ground.
Publishers are hoping that disclosing the odds will be enough to get legislation talks to back off. Like knowing the odds of getting what you want is less than 1% is really going to help anyone.

Activision and EA executives are among the majority and highest ranked individuals among ESRB.
They collude all the time to keep their games ratings on the lowest possible.
According to ESRB and Pegi guidelines gambling warrant a T rating at least, but those fuckers still keep their shitty games with clear gambling imagery and mechanics as E, because it suits their interest.
With the whole NBA 2K20 debacle Pegi made it clear that what they were shown was different from the 2k20 trailer where they glorified their gambling shit.
Not that it wwould have mattered that they showed it since the Take 2 Ceo is the head of Pegi.
Making it obvious that this whole shit of being self regulated is a massive joke.

Its just like Hollywood is just as dirty with film ratings.
Example the South Park Movie was supposed to be NC-17 and not Rated R.

Back in 2006 a senator tried to push a bill to require the ESRB to play the games they rate.
It didnât go anywhere. It probably need revisiting now.

Saw people talking about COD mobile. Googled to see if it has controller support and apparently it was removed. I tried PUBG mobile a while back and without controller support, that shit was cool ranch deletoâd.
I donât get mobile gaming. Games made for mobile suck in scope/content. Console style games and ports made for mobile suck in controls. I mean 10 buttons on the screen that also cover screen space. Shits so stupid.
