There are apparently some fans thinking his donation of the money is akin to him being manipulated to do so due to his racist bullshit. This charity also publicly criticized him for the Nazi shit.

The conspiracy heads or folk bitter about them going after him for the Nazi shit were so loud they got him to pull the donation under the guise of him feel connected to the charity. The charity themselves have reportedly said only thing they have heard about this is from the videos and he hasn’t actually ever contacted them.

Whether this is all one of his stunts or he is back tracking due to his poisonous portions of his fanbase, he is a piece of shit, plain and simple.

Unlike the apparent majority of gamers today, I’ll actually miss Gamestop when it’s finally gone… they expanded the variety of stuff they sell and have been more appealing as a result, at least for me. I wasn’t aware the M.U.S.C.L.E. figures had made a small comeback until a random day in a gamestop…and just like that I bought a new pack of those figures; the first new ones I’ve had since they were actually a new thing in the late 80s. They also have classic Power Ranger figures, horror movie icon-related stuff, cheap shirts and hats, etc. There was a nice Thanos figure there that I now regret not getting… someone swooped that up already at the location I usually go… they’re also conveniently located for me, compared to other places where you can buy games. At work I can go there on a lunchbreak and get back with plenty of time to spare, and there’s a different one fairly close to where I live. My main spots for getting games locally has been them and Best Buy for the past several years now.

Yup. Some states even require a 2 week hold on trade ins as an anti-theft precaution. I know Washington did. When I transferred to the store here in arkansas when they said they didn’t do trade holds it blew my mind.

The cost for games here in my country are around 65 to 70 for the $60 games for example.
Consoles are around $50 more expensive in general and anything technology i usually around the same margin.

In general outside luxury items most stuff has very economic taxes, in part due the geographical position of my country and in part because the trade deals that the region has.

South america on the other hand, yeah, they are fucked if they are trying to import stuff from the north, specially brazil, since they have very ludicrouse fees for importing.

The part of people that want all the characters from the get go are the ones that have never paid attention to the experiences Sakurai desperately tries to create with Smash games. He never intended these games to be taken seriously in that way, he never intended them to be played that way. Sure, he wanted depth of gameplay and all that great stuff. But he already said years ago that he didn’t set out to make a fighting game.

What he wanted to do was recreate the chaotic fun children have when playing with action figures. Part of that experience is making up rules and pretneding your in all these different wondrous places. Hence you get big moving stages with lots of crazy stuff and you can change the rules as you see fit.

Unfortunately a handful of fans took all that and bent it sideways with their non-hand-washing-after-using-the-bathroom ways. So they made demands that went directly in conflict with how Sakurai views his game. He went on to concede a lot to those people becuase Reggie made the mistake of giving Triforce his phone number.

Do you get mode for these people? Yep. But in making the ultimate expression of discovering lots of toys, he basically decided that, if he wasn’t going to get all of it, he was going to add a way to recreate that sense of discovery when you got new toys. Hence you start with a few, and then after a few games characters just start flying by to pla yyou. Its a pain in the ass for a lot of people, but seeing characters randomly interrupt you was also really fucking cool to see. For all your complaints about how you don’t have the full roster, you don’t want to stop and smell the roses about relaxing into the experience of just being surprised constantly with new people.

So by all means, keep fucking up this series forcing that stupid ass bent that it needs to be like traditional fighting games. Wasn’t meant to be. I see kids randomly play this in schools and its always without items. The competitive Smash scene was a fucking mistake.

I really don’t know why anyone would think its a good idea to announce donating to ANY charity that’s for a good cause and then announce that you’re gonna back out of it. I can’t even conprehend that shit I don’t care whatever the fuck it is. I can’t imagine someone announcing they’re going to donate money to cancer or saving the rainforest and then because some fucking nobodies put on their tin foil hats to come up with a reason for doing a good deed and then you go ‘Actually you know what? I actually felt pressured to be a god damn decent human being so I’m gonna back out of this’. Like…I’m so fucking befuddled right now.
