Now to decide PS4 or Switch.
I’ll double dip. I absolutely love the first 2 star oceans.
Any games or games from a series I genuinely love and never get tired of playing I’ll buy it on as many platforms as I can.

If done right, it might as well be cheating.
I’m still having a hard time seeing someone at KFC greenlight this.

Hey is Star Ocean that up coming game that has Starfox crossing over with it? It looked like what a new StarFox game should’ve always been.
No…I believe you are talking about Starlink that was already released last year.

Oh I’m way late. Has anyone here played starlink? How was it?
No. You’re thinking of Starlink Battle for Atlas. Which came out October-ish of last year. Which flopped hard due to it being a Toys to Life Game.
Star Ocean is an RPG series that’s been around since the early 90’s.
Despite it being DOA for the reason I mentioned above. I’ve heard it’s actually not a terrible game. Not good. But not bad. Like the definition of serviceable.
The switch version is considered the definitive version though due to StarFox involvement. That said: All the trailers and gameplay greatly down play how relevant the Star Fox characters are to the game.
Oh for sure. Ubisoft basically made a better Star Fox game than Miyamoto has in 3 generations of home consoles. Maybe even 4 if you didn’t like Assault or Adventures for GCN.
I personally loved Adventures. I get, understand and agree with why everyone fucking hates it though. With Assault I watched a friend speed run It but I never played it.

Watched my cousin play the Star Fox Starlink, it looked fun as hell, Starfox characters integrate nicely into it. If I had a Switch I’d buy it is all im sayin.

I’ve tried this and found it to be a pretty inadequate experience. Can’t move my ship up off the bottom of the screen or else my whole hand blocks the bullet waves. Every shmup I’ve played on Mobile that is good has you rooted to the bottom of the screen like you’re playing Space Invaders cuz there’s no way to have dynamic dodging due to the input method. Like there is 0 way to Round the World a boss on a touch device without obscuring well over half the screen with you hand.
Real Talk, the Dreamcast was an awful system
Poorly designed controls compared to the competition, alot of rushed development in hardware (yeah they were ahead of their time, but it was not done well, rushed development on many titles resulting in some terrible games (Sonic Adventure for example being a over glorified Tech Demo with some of the characters adding nothing to the game like Big the Cat). And that when the PS2 was announced (not released, just anonneced) the Dreamcast was already dead.

I have Starlink but still haven’t even started it due to the lineup on Switch being absolute fire since day 1, man… but yeah, it looks like the REAL new-era “Starfox” that fans really wanted. It was on sale for a nice discount during Christmas so I got it digitally then (it was the special/deluxe version that has everything so I couldn’t pass that up…I think it was something crazy like 50% off)… so I don’t even have any of the toy/figures. Actually I think it just went on sale again recently
More Gears 5 for me later tonight… stability has greatly improved in the past day or so, fortunately!
sheeeeittttt, this is also the start of a nice little vacation for me; ohhhh I have a LOT of quality game-time planned…
The Dreamcast was the first console to get a perfect Capcom game, and also Tokyo Xtreme racer.
That was not hard as Capcom ported a few CPS2 and CPS3 games to the Naomi arcade hardware, and the Naomi is just the Arcade version of the Dreamcast. The Dreamcast and the Naomi has almost the same specs. One of the Naomi O/I boards have Dreamcast controller ports and Dreamcast VMU support.
No one cares about Shutokō Battle.
