This has double tap gas to drift, and you will be slower to drift than to grip.
Manual is a deal breaker. In fact back in the PS2 days, I waited for Test Drive Unlimited to come out for that, and it had no manual. Such a little known title, that info wasn’t anywhere until I had it in my hands, and the game IIRC had the option, but it literally didn’t work. Confirmed that it didn’t have it. Traded in PS2, and about half my games, and bought a 360 with the real version of the game.
Also NFS, no manual wasn’t spoken about until the game was out as well. But for different reasons since were talking about almost 10 years since TDU. At that time, the info wasn’t there. In 2015, the gays that had info didn’t care, they were Burnout players at best.
I don’t play Burnout, or Split/Second, or any of that type of shit. GTA is the only super fake shit I’ll play.
It’s just like real life. Manual is a necessity for fun.

It’s mirroring life. Manuals are almost non-existant. Dual Clutch transmissions have basically done them in at this point. The 2020 Vette doesn’t offer one. Never thought I’d see that day come to pass.

It changes the way you’re able to play the game. I was heavy into Gran Turismo back in the day and it was harder to drive effectively with the automatic transmission because you couldn’t downshift to say, 2nd gear coming into a curve, and skip low torque 1st gear acceleration. It makes a big difference.
Part of why I never really played a lot of other racing games is because the ones I tried were automatic only.

Funny you say that, I have 2 cars that are quicker with their non manual counter parts. I don’t give a fuck. Also I was last week, looking at Corvettes, and told the guy I would be looking for a C7 so I can get a manual. I just want to see what the C8 does to the C7 prices first.
And the C7 Grandsport that I’m thinking about is going to cost more than a C8. Minus possible ADM. But that is how much manual means to me in a sports car.
My Mustang would be quicker with the A10, and my Evo X would be quicker with the DCT. My money’s not going on an automatic fun car. I FINALLY bought an automatic this year, a Malibu, and the caveat was the car can’t be offered in manual in any trim. It’s also not a fun car.
I’ll do not-manuals sports cars when I get paid to drive for lap times. Which means never. LOL.
In Forza, the Mitsubishi Evo X in game is the DCT version, I literally don’t use it for that reason.
This is why I’ve kept my Logitech G25. It allows for both paddles and stick - two kinds even, H pattern and sequential.

IIRC manuals are more popular in Europe, You may have to move soon and I’m only half joking. I wouldn’t mind having a stick again for a second car but with traffic getting worse, I 'd only end up using on the weekends.

My brothers French girl friends mother visited here in AZ and my brother had to “teach” her how to drive her automatic rental because she had never seen one before.

ohhhh yeah I’m always hyped for any new developments with this game above all else at the moment. The earlier Bloodlines game was set in Los Angeles if I recall… I missed out on playing it though since I’ve never been a big fan of pc gaming in general…especially back then. I played Doom and Diablo…and later Postal… and that was about it for me. Anyway; fast forward to now and of course the visuals are horribly dated (it’s 15 years old now) so it would be tough to go back at this point.

I did. It’s mediocre. Wily Tower is a dope idea that should be done again in another game that doesn’t run like shit.
Also Capcom dropped the ball on updating the music for the Genesis, it lost all its punch and veracity.
