No matter how much Capcom does or doesnt fuck up, they will always be a legendary company to me due to all their contributions to the medium.

Capcom has made a huge percentage of my favorite games all the way back to the nes days, and they still do. Not everything they do is gold, of course, but they bat pretty damn solid more often than not.

Karate Champ, MediEvil, Secret of Mana, Alone in the Dark, and Kung-Fu Master predate all those and none of them were made by Capcomā¦

Secret of Mana is, except in terms of quality as Secret of Mana is actually good.
Secret of Mana is nothing like MH aside from having multiplayer.
Secret of Mana is also super over rated. Seiken Densetsu 3 is much better just for starts.
Well, Seiken Densetsu 3 is a sequel so it makes sense that it would improve on its predecessor. Havenāt personally played it as it hasnāt released in a language I am fluent in.

That is quite a shit classification for finding anything. Maybe it works for the tiny archipelago of Japan, but it does not look like the rest of the world acknowledges it.

Search any retailer or classification system outside of Japan excluding a dedicated wiki or social media and it is unlikely that you would find anything on the matter either.
Japan is one of the largest sectors for video game sales in the world. IIRC only America purchases more games. Every other country in the world in behind Japan in number of video games sold.
And yeah, the hunting action genre is bigger in Japan, so what? How in the world is that justification for it to not be legitimate? And besides, the mere massive success of MHW could easily change that just as Dark Souls has changed the face of action RPGs despite games like it already existing. Hell, Dauntless exists specifically because of MH and thatās probably the first hunting action game developed by a western studio. So yeah, outside of Japan the genre has taken much longer to catch on, but that doesnāt make it not a genre.
Genres are not popularity dependent. They are classifications. There is nothing to argue about this, you were just wrong, fucking man up and accept that

They donāt. They just categorize them under the preexisting ones to make online shopping easier. There is not really any point to this conversation since your heads appear to be firmly lodged in your asses on the matter.
