bit the bullet and pre-ordered Gundam Versus. really enjoyed the beta and it feels like it has a lot of depth im just worried if the playerbase will be big enough.
Haven’t been able to find anything about the US numbers yet outside of the steam numbers I posted earlier.
Honestly I’m not even posting this as a jab against Infinite, it’s just genuinely fascinating how much of a commercial flop the title has been. We don’t know what the budget for the title was but it’s possible that this is the biggest financial flop of any title this year, especially when you consider the original Capcom sales projection for the title was 2 million copies worldwide.
Reached area 5 of Samus Returns. At this point in the game I’m starting to see the wrinkles. The game lacks enemy variety. With the heavier action focus I would expect to be facing different types of enemies in each area but I mostly run into the same bats, shelled and horned creatures with different color palettes. Unless I’m fighting a new evolution of Metroid the fights become boring after a while. I hope this isn’t the case but it seems like I won’t be able to get everything until the post game. Personally, I like to get 100% or close to it when I reach endgame.
I can’t read moon runes so I’m waiting until October to get my fix.
I just want to know the full roster and if they have any extra modes besides story and free play. I loved the adventure mode in hyrule warriors so I hope they do something similar
There is nothing surprising about this game flopping.
You get what you put in, and Capcpom put in nearly zero effort… There will be excuses and finger pointing about how FGs aren’t popular despite Injustice and the upcoming Dragonball Fighter Z selling millions(it will, bet it).
This is an indictment on how you can’t take your audience for granted and have to earn every purchase with your effort and quality.
as much as i like the gameplay in mvci everything about this games presentation and artstyle is horrible and while i realize this was a low budget effort unless capcom planned for the worse possible sales outcome i think this game will get probably get whatever they had planned for next year and thats it. in addition to esports its gonna take a godlike amount of dlc for this game to keep getting support old music, graphic shaders, maybe some feature where character portraits pop up during supers all for 5 dollars a piece.
ive been getting cursory glances of Monster Hunter World so i decided to finally look at the weapon trailers.
The animations for these are incredible. i knew they were pretty famous for their heavy buster sword animations but even their lighter weapons are fantastic to watch.

woudl they add a no UI option? looks cooler without UI. SW battlefront can be played without UI (FFXIV too though usually its better to have it on. and it’s very customizable and filterable)
