Yes, in Armor Install, X could charge specials by holding the button, allowing more attack options and angles- Rising Fire would create a falling fire burst that covers in front and behind X, Boomerang Cutter would fire two projectiles at varying angles the bounced off walls and traveled slightly further before dissipating, and new attack Soul Body would have duplicate X fire two buster shots directly in front of X before fading away. Said clone could be destroyed with minimal physical attacks. He’d also be able to move while charging in armor mode, rather than being forced to stand in place, or release upon landing. Standard buster would still charge faster and fire the double shot.

In armor mode, C. Slash would be able to special cancel on hit, Tornado would lift higher, and Thunder would leave a lingering hitbox for follow ups

Idk exactly how useful freezing the ground would be, but I’d prefer it if the ice tracked the opponent instead of having a set trajectory.
Being able to charge his weapons for the enhanced versions would be better than having to proc them by using another weapon first. I do like that you can cancel the recovery of one weapon into the enhanced version of another tho.
If you charge his buster in the air, it cancels if you don’t release it before you hit the ground. I don’t like that.
I haven’t tested if his f dash buster follow up goes through opponents like Zero’s if close enough. Just thought about it, and it sucks if it doesn’t.
He could use some tweaks, but I like using him. He has potential I’m not tapping into and his combos can get pretty flashy. You can zone with him or pressure with box dashes and weapon cancels. Overall, one of my favorite characters in the game. If he had the things you suggested, he’d be that much better. I just don’t think he sucks (aesthetically or functionally) without them.

I have plenty of gripes with Capcom, but X’s inclusion isn’t one of them. No, he’s not TVC Volnutt perfect, but he’s still a really fun character to play.

That’s actually a pretty good list Po and as someone who has no knowledge of megaman, that list sounds cool without being unrealistic and unreasonable.
The reason I stay en fuego at Capcpom all the time is because that list took me all of ten minutes to write down, and these dudes have had twenty years of X games to pull from and didn’t even try.
That’s it-- They don’t even TRY… All that wasted potential, X-men or not… Where’s Ms. Marvel? Kamala Khan probably the easiest character to include and her shape shifting would have been visually striking as well as plugging the lacking female character issue.

I think Monster Hunter is a huge missed opportunity. She looks so dull. I’ve not played a single minute of Monster Hunter and I get the feeling there’s stuff missing from her.
Couldn’t her level 3 attack have had I dunno, a MONSTER in it? But no, just more slashing. Done right, she could’ve been a great promotion for the existing and upcoming games.

A monster summon is unnecessary. Being a hunter having a cat by her side would make more sense. Having a Kitty’s helper type super with a felyne would be cool.

Personally I had no problem doing it I played for the story and gameplay wasn’t good enough that I would just wonder around in it without a goal.
Of all the shit I’ve taken that game to task over, Monster Hunter is not one of them. She looks good.
I will call out the fact that the character you have to pay extra for seems to have more effort and better texture work done than the base roster, however…
