It’s a dark action rpg. If you’re heard of Drakengard, it’s like that. However, these games have been fairly low budget so it’s not the most appealing(graphics so-so, environment so-so, combat so-so). But if you look past that, it has an interesting story, good dialogue, and awesome soundtrack.
Miyamoto says they’re messing around with Co-Op options including the aformentioned 1 person shoots 1 person steers. Nothing is concrete at the moment.
He also reaffirms that Zelda is coming to Wii U.
Starfox Zero prototype started on Wii, Miyamoto reveals that everytime they do new hardware they do a Starfox prototype
Miyamoto also considers shopping the game to MonolithSoft but in the end gave it to Platinum because of his history with Kamiya, Platinum games work with Action and Visuals, and the fact that Platinum is full of Nintendo fans.
Miyamoto and Kamiya worked on Mickey Mouse games back during the Capcom days…interesting.
EA: No Mass Effect remaster trilogy coming anytime soon, rather focus on new experiences
They aren’t doing BC but they recognize it as a legitimate approach. Just the fact that in their experience, people don’t use it that much. Sounds like they got burned on it from the early PS3 days.
I think Starfox gonna get pushed back. I’m not usually one to complain about graphics but it foreal did look like a 6th gen game. So I’m assuming that’s an earlier build or they polishing up visuals and etc now.
Also SMT X FE was being shown on stream but can’t watch at the moment, but I’ll probably peep the treehouse when it’s like uploaded on YT. But yeah depsite they eh conference Nintendo still does have the most I’m looking forward to.
Xenoblade, Fox, Fatal Frame, Devils 3rd, Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, Yokai Watch, Fire Emblem Fates, SMT X FE, Mario Tennis surprisingly, and I might fuck with Wooly World, but if Mario Tennis doesn’t have no fucking online…
But yeah man I know it’s hard to hype the wii u as it doesn’t really have 3rd party exclusives and Nintendo can only do so much with 1st party. But i think they can chill on 3ds and maybe just assist with localization of titles like they are doing with Yokai, and use more resources to work on wii u shit.
Because the 3ds is doing fine. It’s a Nintendo handheld, it has Pokemon and now Monster Hunter i don’t think it’s gonna lose momentum. Maybe just one more Pokemon can drop idk if it’d be Pokemon Z or a new gen but that should be enough to keep it afloat for a minute
I think difference in the architecture between ps3 and ps4 is too great for them to bother with large scale BC. First gen ps3 only had BC because it had extra hardware built in.
The reason I don’t PC game is I don’t give a shit about PC’s. I haven’t used my laptop in 2 years. Steam has a lot of appealing Indy titles but they’re all extremely cheap to pick up and I’m not going to spend x00 dollars just so I can play a handful of $5-$15 dollar games.
Plus if you have to modify how a game looks or plays to have fun with it than you wasted your money because obviously the game didn’t entertain you.
One thing they mentioned about Mario Maker on the Treehouse stream is that you can’t put up levels online unless you yourself have beaten it. Sounds pretty fair. You can still be as much of an diabolical asshole but you can’t purposefully put up a stage that is unbeatable.
