Video Game General 3.0 - You know what should come back? Pre-rendered backgrounds!

It’s not. Using V-Skills gains you V-Gauge.

Must’ve missed that part.

Street Fighter V - Battle System Trailer

Walk speed was already fine during the Taipei show. It was already improved from IV at that point, and the recent photos have pics are looking fine. Pumped for the final product!

Platinum’s unannounced game is debuting Monday, by Geoff Keighley. Speculation is that this will be a game Platinum actually owns this time.

All I need now is confirmation that THE JP box art for Devil’s Third is the same for every region and I’m more than set.

Made some avs from the new SFV character artwork for people to use.

free xbox one pad with oculus rift lmao

halo VR actually confirmed by phil spencef wtf!!!

Thanks man

The game’s not lightning fast, but it’s definitely a lot speedier than SFIV. I’d need some more time to look at it, but the speed looks acceptable at first glance.

V-Skills and V-Trigger are really neat. I’m always a fan of more character-specific mechanics. I’m a bit more iffy on V-Reversal. Alpha Counters are fine, but having them use a separate meter seems really suspect. Reversals might be a bit too easy with this.

I’ve been waiting for the return of a visible Stun Gauge. Now if we could just get multiple available supers from the Alpha series back, we’d be golden. Overall, SFV has my interest; and it’s been a while since that’s happened for an SF game.

SFxTK has worse walkspeeds than SFIV, though…

noticed no more crouch teching thank god for that.
stun gauge is nice addition.
that little added affect where you kill with critical arts is very nice.

It definitely doesn’t look faster than SF4. It looks more along the lines of SFxT speed.

Bison’s V-trigger increases his speed tremulously which is why he’s slow.

Just watched the SFV video. 100% sold and hoping something stupid, on the business side, doesn’t come along and ruin it. My only annoyance is having 4 bars to keep track of, but that’s just how the cookie crumbles. Sony needs to announce a price drop and this shit is a wrap!

Crouch teching wasn’t know about until later in the game. You can bet SFV will have its own quirks within the system, just like any other fighter.

looks like the thing Insomniac was teasing is a game exclusive to the Oculus Rift called Edge of Nowhere

I’m going to guess that’s what Ki Shima posted a twitch channel to

I still can’t see it. I mean, I could be wrong just because I’m watching these SFV videos in 60FPS where most footage of prior SF games have been in 30FPS. But between the higher damage and quicker movement options like Nash/Bison’s teleports and Chun Li’s short hop, it appears faster to me.

On the Tekken side, and I’ve already talked about this with you.

Regardless, this seems even worse in that regard.

of course once the game gets in the hands of the players that’s when tech can begin to develop ,but crouch teching was by far one of the most annoying things to me in sf4.
as for faster than sf4 idk, but it definitely looks sped up.

I just noticed that the timer still doesn’t stop when you hit a cinematic super. Why do they continue to do this?

I wished Capcom kept the variable meter to EX instead of V-trigger. We’ll see how that goes.

Just look at the normals… The crazy amount of delay and hit stop, the even floatier jumps, the slow special cancels that look like links… It’s exactly like SFxT. Granted, the game visually surpasses SF4, but it’s not faster at all.
