My problem is less with Capcom and more with the FGC as a whole. It’s not really a community. People who play fighters are only concerned with their fighters. And I’m not saying people should PLAY more than SF and crossovers if they don’t want to, I’m saying we should stand up for the issues of every group. What happened with Darkstalkers should have been an assault on everyone who play’s fighters. Lord knows if that shit was happening with Tekken (a series I could care less about) I’d still say, “that shit isn’t right” and voice my concerns. It shouldn’t be Tekken player’s problem, it should be everyone’s.
You may have never played a DS game in your life, but to pretend like an entire fan base wasn’t being extorted and grossly mistreated just becuase it was concerning a game you never played was a true injustice for us all. And because we didn’t get together and say “No”, it set a terrible standard going forward. "If you don’t buy the rehash of the fighter, you wont get the the game you actually want. ***We simply will not take the risk, ever.***." It’s a lot like bad basketball coaching and was a huge let down. Things weren’t really like I thought they were.
Everyone is just so narrow minded, now. If Capcom wanted to do a new Techromancer, would you advise against it because you know the re-release of the old one wouldn’t sell at all? It’s a fighter with cool giant robots. You mean Capcom can’t recreate a concept like that, turn it into a good game, and sell it off of its merits rather than name recognition? Do we really want our FG companies never taking risks like this, ever? That’s crazy, but most of us essentially signed up for just that. I always thought the FG genre was special because a major company might come out with an amazing fighter out of no where, from time to time. But now it’s just like western FPS, with 5X less the average production value. You always know what you’re going to get.
Looks like Toon Link will be included in the transfer to the Wii U version. Also looks like Japan is getting a treasure box edition with a golden ocarina. Soooo…Reggie are we gonna miss out on this again ooooor are we all gonna have to go to NY for it?
Just watched Karin’s trailer…I’m super underwhelmed she looks like a generic rush down character from SF4, the whole time I was watching her moves I was thinking “ok…so what does she being to the take that’s different/interesting?”
You’d think with 16 characters starting Capcom would make all of them super impressive and fun looking…but the game is a long ways from being out so who knows maybe Karin will be a super fun character in release, just saying that trailer did nothing for me compared to the Rashid trailer which was really cool.
MH Stories looks like babby’s first Monster Hunter. But I must admit, that monster taming looks dope as fuck. You usually kill the monsters and harvest their remains, rather than use them as means for transportation.
Did she spin Mika like The Price Is Right wheel and gentle her in the stomach, all in mid-her? Aside from that, I like that SFV is bringing old character such as Charlie, Rainbow Mika, and Karin.
Also, has anyone seen the trailer for Umbrella Corps unless it was posted here (or among the TGS line-up)? If anything, I’m not feeling it at all.
Capcom continuing to disappoint me with these reveals.
Nash is more offensive now, they ruined Ken, Necalli and Rashid are both more on the offensive side, and now Karin looks to be another damn rushdown character.
