Video Game General 3.0 - You know what should come back? Pre-rendered backgrounds!

I haven’t givin him anything and I wouldn’t feel sorry for him.

I just want the game to come out so I can see if it’s any fucking good or not.

all things considered…

  • Inafune showing the world that his money hunger knows no limits
  • mighty no 9 looking like utter shit AND not even going to be released this year (after idk how long ppl have been waiting)
  • launching another kickstarter before the first one is “done”

yeah idk… fuck inafune fuck comcept and fuck dina the “petit” cow too.

With the way things are going with Inafune and comcept they aren’t getting another penny from me.
Funny enough Comcept has two KS going on at the same time, a MM Legends style game and an Anime
I would find this hilarious if this was not so sad. Is it too much to ask for Mighty No 9 to be shipped first?
But the bigger more important question is for some at Comcept to get their head out of their ass.
But looking at the amounts raised of both KS campaigns, looks like the public is not buying this one.
Not like how everyone was hyped for a Megaman successor.

Damn, niggas let nostalgia get the best of them. If a “new Megaman” isn’t in the cards, IT JUST ISN’T IN THE CARDS. Let it go, it’s over.

It was a free update on the Master Race version.

Companies are free to do as they like with the money. But, if they keep crapping on the consumers good will they will go out of business. Every greedy business goes out of business. If your customers feel as though they aren’t being treated properly, they will take their business elsewhere. Its what happend to nintendo. People felt as though they abandoned their fanbase, Nintendo had no concern of keeping their customers happy. Its like a very smug selfish attitude at nintendo right now honestly. You have capcom and their BS. Which they learned from, honestly. They’ve been on their best behavior all year. They know that if people aren’t happy they go out of business.

We were talking about it in the context of it being backwards compatible to the Xbone. You know damn well Microsoft doesnt let Valve do free expansions. It’s why TF2 on xbox is still in what is essentially 1.0. Heavy doesnt even have sandvich in that build

Agreed, MS charges the publisher/developer for every download they provide. Valve and Microsoft’s relations at best are strained.
Hence games don’t get updated that often and DLC isn’t free. Companies that give free DLC does it on their dime.

Only exception has ever been made has been with Minecraft, which was one of their terms to get on XBLA in the first place and MS enjoyed a 2 year timed console exclusive.
Which is also the reason Sony started to be really nice to Notch as soon as that contract expired and coax him into signing a contract with Sony.
And why later MS bough Mojang studios (along with the rights to Minecraft, and the agreement they sell Minecraft on the PS3, PS4 and Vita).

Have you seen how poorly the support is with Both Red Ash KS compared to Mighty Number 9 (and Mighty No 9 had additional funding after the KS campaign).
The Anime has yet to meet their goal and they have less than 62 hours to raise approx $27,000 more to meet their $150,000 goal.
The game only getting their funding because of Fuze Entertainment

Damn Nintendo for shitting on me by providing some of the best gaming experiences I’ve had in years!!

That is debatable. The 80s and early 90s I wouldn’t argue with you.

With the N64 Nindy lost alot of their thunder and some of their more hardcore fans gamers who felt Nintendo’s library didn’t really grew up with them.
There was a few serious titles, but they came too few too late and people already adopted the PS1.

I feel Nintendo had never recovered the height of their popularity they had with the NES and SNES. The Wii didn’t have the impact the company though it would and the Wii U is a nightmare in marketing.
Until recently Nintendo was strong in the handheld market, the mobile smartphone/tablet market has impacted the handheld market but MOST of these mobile games are no where the same quality in game play or production values as what Nintendo offered.

I never adopted a PS1. Was solely Nintendo up until the mid life of the Wii. I had a PS2 for fighting games. I got a 360 since I began game testing in the MS division of Activision. PS3 is media device mostly and now Xbone is with my Wii U. Nintendo never lost me…more like I openes up my gaming Pallette

YEa I’ve always eventually owned every Nintendo Console (along with the others) so Nintendo never lost me either.

After the SNES I got a PS1 but that doesn’t mean I didn’t use every oppurtunity I could take go visit people who owned an N64 to play some Goldeneye multiplayer, Mario 64 and more.

I can see that, part of my reason I never got a N64 besides the N64 not appealing to me is I had at sometime or another ether a neighbor or roommate who had a N64 and we had awesome GoldenEye matches.
I never felt the appeal of Mario 64, I didn’t like games becoming 3D for the sake of being 3D. Early on I was not a fan of polygon graphics when sprite based graphics looked much better.
It I myself (and most people I know) never invested in a N64. Only reason late in the N64 life I ever got a N64 was the few exclusives that caught my eye, which I sold off and didn’t reacquire another N64 until this last February, even then I remember why I hated the N64 controllers so much.

If you were poor as fuck, and could only have one console ever, you would not choose the n64. The n64 is easliy nintendos worst home console period.

Choices that make sense are systems like gamecube, SNES, Genesis, Dreamcast, Ps2. If you choose n64 you would be bored in 1 day. Its just not a good system. I would take a Saturn over it honestly.

I had a N64 for a year before a PS1. I’m not rich. Stop projecting your taste on other people.

???

The idea that everyone would purchase one over the other being self evident or that everyone would be bored in 1 day with an N64 is nothing more then an statement of your taste. There where lots of games to play on N64 that would give you tons and tons days worth of play. It’s silly statement.

For many people the bulk of the N64 library been mostly kiddy games. Keep in mind this was the mid 90s.
Most people didn’t have internet access to search for games that might be out of production.
It is too easy now to say what games were good or lost gems for the N64 now with the advent of the Internet. In 1996 no so much.

The only N64 games I cared for at the time was Star Fox 64, Star Wars Shadow of the Empire, Golden Eye & Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. (I didn’t know about Rouge Squadron till much later).
Most of the N64 games I saw in stores at the time were Quest 64, Mario Party, or what ever Foot Ball game that came out that year. All I felt was boring kid shit.

When 1998 came around I was way to busy (with the way my life was) to keep track of every game, I decide to delicate to a single console, not because of money but because of time.
I was actually too busy to keep track of my favorite TV shows. Most of my free time came in the form of downtime at work where you can’t be picky what time of the day (or week) your off and often TV reception is at a rare luxury.

I rented ass loads of games from blockbuster. Sorry but that line of thinking of BS to me. I only owned like 4 or 5 N64 games (Because I was in 8th grade and had no job but had to buy my own shit). I rented lots tho and discovered TONS of shit through that method, as well as conversing with others at school. I don;t buy this “It was before the interwebs we didn’t knooow!” it’s BS imo.

I;m not saying people flocked, I’m saying that such a line of thinking is simply projecting your taste onto others and then pretending like it was the world norm.
