That guy (Itagaki’s buddy) worshipped NG, NGB, and NG2 yet still he bitches about the camera in DMC3 and called the game’s difficulty “broken”. Bullshit, a thousand times. Nothing in DMC3 was anywhere near the levels of cheap garbage those games chucked at you, and the camera was FAR worse to boot.
Maybe the living statutes on very hard (aka hard mode in the original) and dmd were approaching NG cheap, but that’s it.

The problem is that Itagaki has no business making a competitive fighting game.
DOA4 was ruined because he finally saw footage of how top level players were playing earlier installments and decided to take out everything that was making the game viable at competitive levels because he didn’t like it.
Its why I don’t take the DoA series seriously.
All that DoA got is giggly boobs, and there far much better sources than DoA.

Onechanbara Z Chaos 2 has been a decent experience so far. It is not on par with games like DMC or Bayonetta but it manages to remain entertaining.
I feel that with a better budget they could make a really neat game.
