Holy shitttttttt. I was already sold on Galak-Z when first seeing it about 403 years ago. This is one hell of a bonus— just an initial reaction since I’m not even finished watching the gameplay vids of this.
There is a bittersweet thing here though…because it makes me want the Vita version that much more. I will always prefer the freedom of being able to play a game anywhere, as opposed to it being locked down to the home/tv/monitor experience. I was looking forward to playing this greatness in the break/lobby area at work during lunch hour…or in the waiting room while waiting on my car getting serviced, or while in a bathroom taking a dump, etc. etc. etc. The freedom of playing anywhere that comes with a portable system is just unquestionably superior, imo.
I got so fucking tired of the training stage theme from 4. Whenever I hit the lab I have to play some outside music or I will go nuts within the first 10 minutes.
I don’t think as my phone as a gaming device( I have zero games on my phone btw). I need pad n’ buttons. I have my PSP on me at least 90% of the time so I’m spoiled by pad n’ buttons. Pad n’ buttons 4 lyfe yo.
Capcom, just do us a favor and make the Character Themes the default rather than the Stage Themes. I’d rather have to just deal with Bison’s terribad theme once in a blue moon than hear the Training Stage over…and over…and over again. NO MORE!
Dude, the game could have been WAY simpler. Instead of giving you two separate altitude buttons and having the subweapon system be the way it was.
I’m not saying it isn’t simple compared to the rest of the games I listed, but that’s because it makes sense in it’s context as the Orbital Frames are supposed to be ultra top of the line bordering on magic machines, so it makes sense that they are quicker to respond and control compared to Steel Battalion’s Vertical Tanks. Same goes for Lost planet, those are not super complicated, but they still have way more movement controls than any game where you play on foot, even compared to being on foot in it’s own game.
Like, can you seriously not see that? That is an EXTREMELY common theme in almost every good mecha game.
This simple scheme, and the resulting animations and feedback were the reasons it was my favorite action games among that gen, even moreso than the DMC and NG games.
As mech games, it’s ZOE and VO. I’d be down for Border Break, but again, quality SEGA games don’t make it outside of Japan, let alone in a timely manner.
I hear this movie is getting panned, but it looked cool to me. I didn’t know Adam Sandler was still in show business though. I don’t keep track of anything anymore
