Always beat a game first before passing judgment unless a game is so terrible you can’t get past the first hour, or the game physically prevents you from doing so due to terrible bugs and glitches.

I think I might play through Super Metroid on my JXD. I’ve actually never beaten a Metroid game, despite really enjoying Metroid Fusion.
(I’m not good at video games.)
The 2 hard parts of super metroid to me when I was 10 were Ridley and the armored ninja space pirates in deeper norfair. The rest was admittedly easy but I enjoyed the world, exploring it. The music and environment comments I don’t understand, super metroid has tons of atmosphere.

He didn’t like Link to the Past either, and that had some elements that Super Metroid had (exploration, hidden secrets, easy ass bosses, multiple ways to play once you find shit like the Medallions, etc). I’m not saying it’s very close (hell, the two are apples and oranges, just about), but just know this fact.
I don’t think he has. Fusion, ironically being one of the easiest Metroid games to date, is the only one he’s beaten.
