Well Pachirisu is just a god, there’s no debating that .
I didn’t say it wasn’t possible, but that fight is a perfect example of the exception to the rule. Pokemon is great because of the cool shit you can do with an unexpected contender like Caterpie, but to deny that different Pokemon have advantages over others is just silly.
Either way though, he made it clear that what he was talking about wasn’t actually “tiers” but instead the dumbassery of Smogon.
Are you stupid? Po or someone already mentioned it on the last page. It was pretty damn clear we were talking about the most prominent most talked about tier rules.
That ou nu bullshit that gives you a list of “acceptable” mons. Fuck that place.
You trying to start an argument over that garbage is the only laughable thing about this.
You’re aware that, with the exception of Ubers, which Pokemon are put into those groups is based solely on how many people use them in matches, right? And that nothing stops you from playing a lower Pokemon in a higher group.
After Pokemon get banned to Ubers, yeah, but before that, not really. Even if you just had one playable group and one banlist, you’d still see people eventually selecting out of a small subset of the same Pokemon, because some of them are undeniably stronger than others. So now your shitty Pokemon has to compete against the best of the best in every match. And since it will get stomped in every match, you might as well not use it.
Of course, this is just talking Singles. Doubles is a lot more freeform, and what people should be moving to anyway because it’s a bit less dumb.
Nobody says that because Lugia’s been in Ubers since forever.
I don’t think you know what NU, UU, OU, etc. mean.
Oh my god, this can’t be a real conversation that I’m actually having right now.
You said you “think tiers are bullshit”. Not the rules that Smogon employs on the game, not all the Pokemon they try and ban from the game, but the TIERS THEMSELVES are bullshit. So what it basically sounds like is you’re complaining about the fact that different Pokemon have different classifications. Which in itself makes no fucking sense because it’s a stupid thing to get upset about.
Don’t get your Pokeballs in a bunch just because you worded something badly.
I knew someone was gonna flex their shitgon knowledge on me lol. I was using them as an example, I have no idea which go into which tier outside a few of my favs. Too many mons for that shit.
Anyway I forgot what thread I’m in. It turns out that no game coming out in the future has my interest. I think I’m just done with gaming. Maybe a couple of matches of MW2 (PC) and I’m good.
Edit - Mother Russia Bleeds looks cool. But if it’s not on the Vita I have no interest.
What? Naw, Generations is one of my favorite Sonic games of all time. And Colors was pretty much the only good Sonic game on the Wii besides the classics, of course.
I was more referring to Sonic Boom and the iOS games…
30fps, 16 player, no voice chat, keyboard support (for chatting). Apparently he chose to use the bandwidth that would have went to voice chat towards the game. He also recommends using the Wii U pro over the Pad. I’ve been glancing over previews of the game and so far and it hasn’t been flattering. Small glimmer of hope still that this can be as fun as I saw it could be but the reports about inconsistent framerate have me a bit worried especially since the game is releasing next month in japan. Don’t really care about a few ‘cars that look like they were from N64’ so long as the gameplay is intact and good.
Fallout 4 will have over 13,000 lines of spoken dialogu
Spencer on the Parity Clause
saying it’s not a parity clause…just that if you put your game on a competitor’s console that you need to give it a little something extra if you put it out later on theirs. Cue ‘It’s not aliens but it’s aliens’ guy.
Randy Pritchford talks about how much money he lost on Aliens: Colonial Marines
not just the game but all the events surrounding the game as well.
