I usually see how far I can get with presenting evidence until I only have a sliver of life left before I decide to save, if even that. Playing under pressure and all that. It would be interesting if they changed up the dialogue a bit based on how well you were doing in the case.
To be fair I liked Iwata even prior to his untimely death. Example Iwata demanded drop test standards for the 3DS that made the Engineers hate him.

Venusaur for life. My Venusaur named Ganon was a beast with Mega Drain, Solar Beam Cut and Toxic.
Also when I played Yellow the first thing I did after capturing a few pokemon was to put Pikachu in storage and release him into the wild.
Venasaur is ass. It’s a shame because I wanted to like it.
I have never seen a worse final form of a 3 stage pokemon. Especially since the first is cute and Ivysaur looks badass. Also even as a kid who knew nothing of how it worked I knew his stats sucked.
Blastoise has always been the best even tho all my friends and cousins were on that dragon dick. I was the only one I knew repping. Felt good to be vindicated after so much shit talking lol.
And yes, those tiers are pointless restrictions that cover up Nintendo’s lazyness and lack of awareness. Pokemon’s games and world was designed competitive yet they keep making throwaway mons’ and adding random elements.
When people try to tell me Pokemon “doesn’t have tiers”, it just makes me laugh. I challenge you to beat a fully trained Moltres with a fully trained Caterpie and then tell me the game has no tiers whatsoever.
Beating other trainers in the story doesn’t mean shit, considering if your Pokemon is a high enough level you can pretty much beat anything with anything.

Not once did you say anything about Smogon and their rules. If that’s what you were talking about you should’ve said it. A game having “tiers” doesn’t refer to a set of rules people apply to it.

The entire point of that system is to create environments where you can use your favorite shitty Pokemon and not get stomped.
Of course a Legendary will always beat a stage 1 evolution Pokemon. Also you got to factor in type effectiveness and a dozen other aspects.
It is also why most tournaments ban legendaries.
And Pokemon with 3 stage evolution almost always trump 2 stage evolution or those who don’t evolve.
The exception for 2 and 3 stage pokemon goes for evolution that require a special condition or item to trigger evolution compared to those who just need to level up.
Its why newer pokemon games sets all pokemon at the same level for player battles,
Being raised with good EVs and knowing what stat that particular pokemon has trumps the actual mon
A Well raised Alakazam trumps a Rare candy feed Kyoger. Or a well raised Gengar can trump a starter Charizard.
Yes Mewtwo is top tier in RBYG, its why Psychics got nerfed in Gold Silver and Crystal with the addition of Dark and Steel types.
And the inclusion of Fairy type in X and Y for Dragons.
